Wow what a shame, I hope he either gets into MLB or at least gets a crack at a starting job in the CFL

Well that's good. I hope he develops into a baseball player. That way the talent farm known as the Royals will trade him up to the Marlins.

I respect Pat, he just didn't have what it takes for the NFL. At least not right now. I hope he finds success in the future.

Good for you, Pat White. I don't watch much baseball outside of the Marlins and postseason (hell, nothing more), but I'll be keeping an eye on Pat and I wish him all the best. Again I was a big fan of his in college, but I never liked the fit here like most other Dolphins fans. I refuse to take that out on Pat White though. He's a good high character guy and he deserves whatever success comes his way in the future.

Best of luck to Pat White. He always seemed like a good dude and I was pulling for him to be an x-factor for the offense, but it just never worked out.

    Worthless pick.

If he had been taken in the 5th or 6th round and we told him his only shot was to be an X factor player - learning the RB and WR positions, learning to be a PR/KR right from the get go, and he would get a few reps at QB, I actually think his career would have worked out.

For an organization that supposedly is trying to think outside the box, they didn't very well at all on this. They treated him just like a QB the whole way and it was an epic fail.

He looked good in that YouTube video but the only problem (maybe not only) is that in the video, everyone in it looked the same size as him. Fast forward to him in the NFL and he was a midget amongst giants it seemed.

    That ain't a coincidence

Thank raf...........but there were a lot of ppl saying or thinking it as well. I have a feeling Pat has been planning this move for a while now. Hell he was probably looking forward to being cut just so he could move on.

I think this is a better situation for everyone involved....

Omaha is AAA, so there is no way this guy starts out at the highest level of the minors considering that he hasn't played baseball in 6 years. I think at best, Pat White will start out at Burlington in the Appalachian League, which is short season rookie ball, but he will more than likely be with the AZL Royals.

Pat is going to find that it will be even tougher for him to make it in baseball than it is for him to make it in football. A good comparison will be Dennis Dixon, who hit .176/.322/.216 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI between the GCL Braves and the Danville Braves before committing to football full time.

I think his agent must be a moron. Dude could come up here and be a back up for a year while he learns the game and then start for 4-5 years learning how to be a quarterback. Starting QB's get paid alright loot in Canada (400-600K a year) and he could give the NFL another shot by the time he is 30. Instead he's going to bounce around in the minors until they start throwing sliders? Dumb, dumb, dumb. Sure glad we burnt a 2nd on him.
