Interesting development. I think Norv Turner was quoted as saying that Merriman could play this season with the injury. Another interesting thing in this whole injury is that some reports are saying Merriman has played with a torn PCL the last two years.
Here is a link for you brother. http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/chargers/20080824-9999-1s24chargers.html
I think they could end up having the second worst record in that division to be honest with you. They're a mess. I never thought a Shannahan coached team would be like they are right now. I think Raiders could win just as much or one more game than the Broncos.
He's a good guy but it looks like those steroids have killed his brain cells. This should be a very simple decision for Merriman. Doctors said "You play, your career is over". You get surgery and you can possibly continue playing.
Merriman will skip surgery and play this season according to PFT. This is a boneheaded move in my opinion because one chop block and his career is done. They play Denver twice like every year so he better watch out. http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/
When that assclown ends his career because he didn't want to skip one season he'll wonder if it was worth it.
He's a ****ing moron. I agree with what PFT said today, in that the best thing that can happen is if his knee snaps like a twig, because this sets a horrible precedence and is just a stupid decision for a player to make (especially one who shouldn't be concerned about his job).
