Sorry for yet another Peyton manning thread but this is new news that should puts some doubts and worries to rest on peytons ATM strength http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/12/stokley-says-peyton-is-throwing-like-six-years-ago
If he was throwing like he did 6 years ago he would have no problem demonstrating his new-found arm strength and miracle 24 hour cure.. Because as of yesterday "he still needed time" to regain strength. Bunch of BS if you ask me
Stokley has been catching passes from Tebow too long. He would probably think Chad Pennington throws like Peyton did six years ago if he were to play catch with him right now.
Part of me laughed. It's almost true. Seriously though I don't doubt he can still gun it when he needs to. The question to me is can he do it with any sort of consistency.
From what I've read his injury is about as close to 0% chance of getting re-injured as you can get. The tear in the muscle isn't the issue so much as the nerve damage. The tear itself is healed and stronger than ever. So I'm not too worried about him taking hits but consistency over those 16 games is crucial.
If stokley took passed from manning and said what he said I believe he has the authority on this subject and should be believed over anyone in this forum who has probably never spoken to manning or taken a pass from him.
