Sounds like Belichek is going back what he considers the basics, but it still won't solve their problems. Mainly the Pats have a haphazard player acquisition strategy that changes every couple of years. What good does it do to have a drone coordinator when they have 5 guys for 2 positions each either a high draft pick OR a quality veteran free agent?
My first thought was that this could be some kind of attempt by Bellichick to stop other teams from poaching his coaching staff. Of course I personally think that is going to stop soon for another reason, it will be due to their descent to irrelevence.
