I kept pushign myself to keep reading the next paragraph...and the next...and the next hoping to find something that was more than mere speculation that has been in place since the end of the season. Found nothing.
Ah, <sniff>, I long for the old, heady days of Ted Ginn Jr, a single thread for or against Theodore would run for hundreds of replies, alas for poor Pat White, he just cannot live up to that level of interest.
Yeah, didn't say much that has already been said. But, as Cobra said, you have to consider the source...Bleacher report really isn't more than a fan site and you can apply the same credibility to it as you do to our posts here...It's all speculation and hear say... At any rate, while I agree in principle that White's days are numbered, it's not likely to happen this season...jmho, mind you but I don't think that after seeing absolutely nothing from him last season that the switch will be turned on and we'll see this all-pro, WCxQB, NFL proset QB suddenly appear....
He did turn down a ridiculous amount coming out of high-school and instead went to WV to play football. If anything, I question his decision-making lol.
he could be a middle reliever and #3 Qb and hold the ball on FG attempts, sort of a utility athlete...

Different situation tho.... Ginn made himself an easy target by being soft in a tough sport. Him not making many big plays was magnified by how timidly he played. Pat White isn't scared, he probably should be but he's not. Fans are more upset with the FO for drafting him and trying to build a package around him, than they are with White personally.... nobody questions his willingness out there like they did Ginn.
Nail on the head JS, he hasn't choked ala Theodore, he hasn't played scared ala Beck, Pat White is still a prospect of either dubious or high value depending on one's point of view. Concerning Theodore, imho it is fascinating that Brandon Marshall had said he wanted to play with him and be Ginn's mentor, that showed surprising depth for a alleged Diva Recevah. As White, let's see if the truism of "a player makes there largest jump physically in Yr 2". That is what I'm banking on anyway.

White and Turner need to really show that they're worth keeping on the roster this TC....... as we make a run the next couple of seasons, wasted roster spots would be a serious detriment. Need that good depth to be a contender.. Personally, I think Turner under the tutelage of Marshall is a better bet than Pat White ever developing into anything worth a place on the 53.
Also have to develop players JS. Well, here is my one criticism of Pat White: Why no interviews? You probably do not know/recall this JS, but Pat W was supposed to have a call in show on QAM last yr, and it never came off. It was supposed to feature Pat and Henne, either one, every Monday Night. I think I know the reason why, mainly Pat is a country guy, he speaks country so to speak, some feel that accent makes people sound kinda dumb and White is a proud cat so he rarely very rarely does interviews, but a NFL Qb has to do them..

I am completely facinated, and riveted by this world cup, I literally set my alarm for 6 30 am last game, and found myself jumping up and down in my hotel rooting for our team, and blown away by the artistry of the sport...Landon donovan kicked that freakin ball right down that goalies throat...absolutely into the sport right now, cannot wait for wednesday.....come on KillerP, you should keep trying to get into it..

I think the best sentence in the whole thing was this...... ".....will White's role be significant enough to keep him on the 53-man roster?" .......and even that line truly stated the obvious. Keep your ear to the wall Cobrajet and see what else you come up with, I always look forward to your posts because they are pretty interesting. Soccer totally bores the hell out of me. Why would I want to sit and watch a game for three hours with no scoring or a game that ends in a tie at 1-1. I'd rather sit around and watch grass grow. That is more exciting IMO. Soccer sucks folks!
I think you have to understand and accept the scoring system, the defensive part of the game, and the strategies involved...It actually doesn't matter to me anymore in terms of the amount of goals...It's constant athleticism on display.. There is really no sense in trying to sway you when your response is "soccer sucks folks"...I think that is a pretty shallow statement KP.
Eh, I would say "Sucks", Soccer is not evil, it is diet evil, just 1 calorie, not evil enough...there is nothing else on but Wimbledon.
