http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d81714d0c&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true Fun stuff, Dez Bryant at #29? E Thomas at #27? But hey, he is foisting Sergio Kindle off on us again.
Hasn't this been posted over and over again? Or is this a new and improved model? If so, I swear our FO isd paying him off to help paint this smokescreen. If this happens, I very well might have an Orange, Aqua and White bonfire in my backyard.
No, Dez Bryant has not been as far back as #29 before, ditto Earl Thomas. Kirwin is either way ahead of the curve or he has lost his mind.
But he still has us taking 'suerzzio'. I watched this kid last year A LOT. If we could trade back and get him anywhere from about pick 60 back, then and only then would we be getting our money's worth IMO. We will see....we indeed will see.
hehe..you have to roll your keyboard: Ssseerrrggiiioooooooo I hear ya Az, I'm tempted to start a thread asking the Draft Guru types how much Dan Williams reminds them of Haloti Nata..purely because all of the media types are determined to pawn Williams, or Ssssssssseeeeerrrrgiooo Caliente' on the Phins. Not that I hate him as a player, but I suspect he is more of a #40-#60 pick than a top 15 type.
Kirwin didn't just post this in the past day or so. I've seen mock drafts from him with Bryant that low for over a week. The other nfl.com mock draft guy, Bucky Brooks, has Bryant in the 20s as well. Kirwin's 1.0 mock draft from 18 days ago or so, has Bryant 25th 2.0 version has Bryant going 27th. 3.0 and 4.0 versions both have him going 29th. Kirwin has had Bryant low through all 4 of his mock drafts. As for Earl: 1.0 he is 12th 2.0 he is going 10th 3.0 he is still 10th 4.0, Pat drops him to 27th.
To compare with the other nfl.com "expert", Brooks has done 3 mock drafts with Earl and Dez as follows: 3.0 has Dez 21st and Earl going 24th. 2.0 version has Dez 11th and Earl 20th His 1.0 version, the oldest of his mock drafts, has Dez 21st and Earl 20th Brooks, btw, is about the last draft analyst I'd pay any heed to. He is all over the place on players. He has Sam Bradford going 26th to the Cards in his first two versions, then catapults him all the way up to #1 overall in his latest version. How can one respect the intelligence of someone like that? Heck, Omar looks brilliant next to Brooks.
THANK YOU!!! Kindle would be a terrible pick. He stinks vs the run, has no pass rush moves to speak of, and the few sacks he did get in college were against overmatched college RTs. He'd only be a fit at WOLB, when our top need is SOLB, and his skill set is similar to Cam Wake except he'd be making 3-4 times as much money. I swear I dont know how some of these Mockery drafts ever hit the wire.
