Too bad we can't go to 2006 where I drafted Jahri Evans in the 7th round... I also drafted Abdul Hodge in the 2nd round that year so there's that....

At the time, many thought it was. Now? not so much.

    DRC = overrated
    Branden Albert = meh...
    Lawrence Jackson = meeeh
Joe Flacco in the second, sure that was nice
    Shawn Crable = nothing
    Frank Okam = nothing
don't need to mention the rest. So Flacco good pick... the rest? average or worse.

I actually like the 2011 draft he had with the Vikings more.

You forgot Steve Slaton, he had the 1,000 yard season. Then just got derailed. Unfortunately for Crable he suffered through injuries and never really got going. Can't have home runs with all of them, but as long as you hit with solid starters it's not too shabby. I kind of felt I won the award for best draft and league title based on just being the dolphins on a Fins board.

The better question is which Fins draft would you take...

    2008 Miami Dolphins
    14. Domnique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State
    23. Branden Albert, OG, Virginia

Rd 2. Pick 58 - Darry Beckwith, ILB, LSU
Rd 2. Pick 61 - LeSean McCoy, RB, Pitt
Rd 3. Pick 82 - Mohammed Massequio, WR, Georgia
Rd 3. Pick 83 - Asher Allen, CB, Georgia
Rd 3. Pick 93 - Travis Beckum, TE, Wisconsin

My favorite draft would have been my 2006 draft as the Patriots since it only had two picks, Cromartie and Greenway. My only problem with that is listening to GiK and drafting Greenway over DeMeco Ryans.

Which Fins draft of those four? I'd take yours because of Flacco. Stitches has McCoy. I've got Lee and Dickson. And really the jury is still out on Fino's players but Gabbert doesn't tickle my fancy  Give me the qb that has proven himself. While there will be questions remaining about him, I wouldn't mind having him as our starter quite frankly.

I tend to lean towards 2008 over 2010 but if Graham emerges that can change with the quickness. 2008 gives you an answer at QB and two other solid starters in DRC and Albert as well as a couple of depth players. 2010 gives you 1 stud ILB, a good TE and McCluster. The downside is it also gives you Reshad Jones which so far is not a good thing....

Yea, sorry Pete. You made one good pick and a handful of depth players. Wasnt really a fan, though getting McCoy alone there is an argument for that. I just didnt like the overall quality of it. I think you will do better with the Panthers

William Moore is a good SS, IMO. However the odds of hitting an elite player outside the first round isn't exactly good.

Yeah some ugly picks there in the first Gish with Gholston, grabbed Jamaal Charles at #17 when you can see Ray Rice went in the 2nd, and Matt Forte was picked up in the 3rd.

Of course, there is Limas Sweed at #20 ;), and James Hardy at #30 by Stitches. Goes to show you, you can find a RB anywhere.

I would take my QBs and WRs over the other dolphins teams, but you can see the RB unit gets stronger with Paul having Arian Foster, and then Fin-Omeal with LeSean McCoy and Mike Tolbert. I slightly prefer my offensive line but center is certainly a question mark, you can't fault me for Tony Ugoh - Branden Albert - Samson Satele - Jake Scott - Vernon Carey. Though I would probably kick Carey into RG and try Floyd Womack out at RT.

I'm not sure if my front seven would be better off in a 34 or 43.

    34.... Langford.... Rubin.... Starks
    Wake....... Ryans........Lee.........Howard

I would keep the 3-4 for the 2010 Dolphins there, mix in a few 4-3 looks, but definitely a solid linebacking crop to run it with. Especially with Sean Lee as the thumper inside. I could see some very exotic blitz with the talent there, and the dline would be able to take up the blockers to let everyone else to roam around.

I always find it's easy to trade away parts of the Patriots just based on what they are able to do, that and the extra first is always a blessing.
