I know it was played at Dolphin Stadium but I doubt he was there just for the hell of it, so I was wondering what player(s) he could be evaluating. My first guess would be Vince Hall the VA. Tech middle linebacker.
My bet is that he first evaluated Xavier Adibi and Brandon Flowers then possibly Chris Ellis and Macho Harris?
Virginia Tech has so many NFL quality players... I really liked both hall and adibi along with flowers...
yeah i like Adibi, Flowers and Ellis a lot. Adibi runs a 4.59 forty which is very impressive to go along with his great instincts and solid tackling ability. He has a knack for the big play which stands out a lot imo.
I doubt he was looking at Hall or Adibi as they're both too small for the 3-4 that he likes to run....Hall is 238lbs and Adibi is about 220 so I just don't see it.......start looking for LB's that are closer to 250 or even heavier...that's what you need to play LB in a 3-4 in the NFL these days.He could have been looking at corners tho. Ozzy rules!!
I have no doubt that Parcells is involved in the process...but Don't just assume he's doing all, or even the majority, of the scouting. Irelands the real GM, and theres probably a reason for it. Parcells will speak with Ireland every day and they'll make the moves together, but Parcells is probably not scouting the prospects himself. The game was being held in his stadium, he probably felt obligated to watch.
not abidi too undersized for what they want at lb (only 219 lbs), probably royal, harper and their other reciever, duane brown OT, brandon flowers, ozzy beat me to my point about LBs...
all season long i REALLY liked Ellis, but last night he stunk up the place. he looked slow and hung over. Flowers had a good game though
Go look at Brandon Flowers' facebook site. And you will see why he won't be a Fin or a high draft pick. Plain stupidity by these kids.
I don't know that it would be good for us to post the link, lets just say that it falls under the category of troublemaker/thug/problem child. You can always do a search for it on your own.
gotcha... i just read that he has some kind of naked pics on there or something so if thats true thanks for the warning... ha
Parcells is a sucker for lunch pail offensive linemen. He knows that Chris Ellis ate Gosder Cherilus' lunch twice this season. He wanted to see Anthony Collins in action, to see if he could get matched up on Chris Ellis and shut him down. That's my opinion. I would say he was looking at Chris Ellis (who probably took on Cesar Rodriguez most of the night), and indeed he may have been...but I've also heard Ellis may have things in his character profile that may turn Parcells off. Collins is a junior and he may declare. He submitted paperwork to be evaluated. Collins said that if he is projected in the second round or higher, he may leave. Right now, many people project Collins as a potential first rounder. Parcells also may have been taking a close look at Aqib Talib...who ended up turning in an MVP performance. Talib is a bigger corner, and Parcells loves big, physical corners. Talib and Collins have agreed that if one stays in school, both stay in school. If one goes, they both go. They're good friends. IMO, both are coming out and those two along with Chris Ellis and maybe Brandon Flowers were the guys Parcells would be looking at.
lol its just a picture of straight cash with possibly cocaine on the bottom of the picture to go along with a ghetto caption. all i have to say is thats a lottt of cash.
yea i was at the game and Talib played like a man against boys. He was dominant. He is exactly the type of shutdown cornor we need in miami. I am thinking that we are gonna trade out of the first and get dallas two first along with some other compenstation with those picks and hope to pick up talib with clevelands pick which i believe is around 21-23. This is also where Talib is expected to go. He is also very good at returing punts and kicks, even though we have ted ginn that is still and extra bonus. He actually played some offense and i think he had a catch. this kid is very versatile and that is what we need in miami. I am all for the Talib bandwagon
Indeed, I think unless we nab a really good CB in free agency we will be looking to take one with one of our #2s. If watching second string RBs blow through our line like LT was bad, watching our secondary play wasnt much better really. Will Allen is solid, but he needs an equal or better opposite him really. Lehan actually might be a solid nickel guy, but not a starter imo.
Talib got burned quite few times this year, I was at another forum and someone posted a clip where he got french fried... I like Talib but we need Kansas fan to really tell us the the good and the bad
Keep an eye on this guy fellas - CB Dwight Lowery An interception machine, Dwight Lowery led the nation with nine picks in 2006 after registering 13 in 15 games at a Junior College. [ame]http://youtube.com/watch?v=S_LKUYxnkaI[/ame]
Which is why we don't want the link to his page posted. We have younger members on this site that shouldn't be exposed to that type of thing here.
I'm not a college football expert like some of the other members on this site, so I'm probably not the best person to ask. But with the depth at that position in this years draft, he might go somewhere in the 2nd.
