You know I realized up until 1997 we never had beaten you guys. I know the Fins had our number back in the day when you had Marino. I was just talking about an old Packer Dolphin game back in 2000 with a diehard Packer fan friend of mine and you guys remember a game when we jumped out to a 17-0 lead in Miami then you guys had a huge comeback to win 28-20. I remember that Lamar Smith dude tearing us up. Jay Fiedler had a good game too and you had a punt return for a touchdown that day as well. I remember Dorsey Levens really tore you guys up, our old running back. Great memorable Packer Dolphin game even though we lost.
How does it feel having absolute faith and trust in your general manager? Wish I could feel that way.
Not cool. It's not like most of the other threads are filled with enjoyable topics to begin with. I like Arods threads, lol.
They have had some misses. But they took a gamble on Rogers and it has paid off massively. Covers a LOT of weaknesses. But they have struggled on both lines at times, and passrushing aside from Matthews. Better overall drafting than many teams though yeah to be sure. They have had some FA targets that paid off well too - Charles Woodson.
Still we should pick up one big name player once in a while. Cedric Benson and Charles Woodson come to mind.
Our special teams back then was a joke lol. Not saying Ogden was a bad player. The Dolphins had a decent team that year that beat Indy in the playoffs I believe then lost to Oakland right?
Basically...you don't have to give a receiver a 60 million dollar contract in free agency when you find guys like Jennings, Nelson, Cobb, and James Jones in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
