Ok so i am listening to some opera. I would like some suggestions on good songs, operas, whatever you want to call it . Yes I am new to opera as a whole so any recommendation is appreciated. Ive asked before but it was at fh so I would like to start a thread here i can refer to. thanks for any and all help.
Bizet's Carmen has a great story, and you will recognize much of the music. Plus, it's been updated interestingly a number of times. La Boheme inspired Rent. Not bad. Pagliacci. But really, for the casual, starting-out fan, Carmen is where it's at.
