winless at home. I feel like Sparano. I don't have any answers. Our "good" defense, can't play defense. We needed a big time stop yesterday, couldnt get it done. Our horrible offense isn't horrible, but still not good enough to win one for us. Absent a huge (and completely unexpected turnaround) we are going to have a new GM, HC, QB, OC, DC...and chance to start again, again. Usually I am excited and optimistic with new coaches. This time I am non-chalant. I find myself not caring one way or the other. If I was a new GM, I would hold out Jake Long, Poucey, and Thomas, but then offer any player on our team up for trade. Make an offer on any of them. Vontae, Sean Smith, any of the DTs, Wake...make an offer (of course only make the trade if the value is there). I can assure you, with a completely new roster next year, rookie QB, all players (mostly), after two games we wouldnt be worse than 0-2. Thanks for listening. I know this is rambling. I am frustrated and I dont have any good answers. I know my proposal isn't viable, and probably not smart, which makes me think Sparano and Ireland might try it. Anyway, good night.
Iam gonna wait til game 5 before I take that approach, but seriously, what your saying here is not far from happening, if they don't win 2 ot of their next 3....End of game 5 is when we should know whether to follow your plan or not...At least for me anyways....This homefield away thing, just might get even more interesting.
This may be a little out there, but I have an idea to help us show up for our next home game. The F.O. should clear the field of all dolphin logos. It will make them feel like they are playing away and piss them off. Then they will have something to fight for. There are two outcomes. Outcome #1: It does not work and we are only slightly more of a laughing stock. Outcome #2 : Our team actually plays with some fire in their stomachs.
Miami kept Houston to 23 points. That's not bad. Problem is, the defense is expected to hold them to 15 points so we can win with our measly 16 points. Our offense sucks. It begins with Chad Henne.
Its hard to come up with positives about this team at this point, if you can't win at home you suck plain and simple. Our team used to OWN the beginning of every season at home when teams struggled in the heat, now we are gassed in the 2nd half. Our coaching staff doesn't make quality adjustments, they are just outclassed by better coaching. I think a guy like Cowher could coach this team into the playoffs, I don't think he's the greatest coach but he wouldn't get schooled every week. Our team simply isn't prepared like other teams are. Honestly I'd be shocked if we finish over .500, not because we don't have the talent but because we are the worst coached team in our division and thats pathetic.
I have to agree and if this team is eliminated before the trade deadline I'd definitely see what the market is for Cameron Wake . If he was 24 I'd say lock him up but I personally believed he's peaked.
Also, we can't possibly be the only team in the NFL that is winless at home because there are at least 3 other 0-2 teams, not to mention a couple teams who likely haven't even had a home game yet.
wrong stitches the other teams have won at home what there saying is miami has the most home losses and they are counting this year and last year both. even cleveland has won more at home then we have or its what someone else said yesterday.well regardless whether we play at home or away good teams find ways to win both at home or away. some of our fomer players are pissed off and they know something is wrong with this team. I am starting to think that many fans dont really want to cope with the truth or they simply dont care about winning because the excuses are getting old.
I must have missed the memo where "only team in the NFL winless at home" now means the same thing as the "most home losses."
