until I go see the Jersey Boys at the Fox in Atlanta with my daughter. I can't wait. She gave me the tics in Jan. for my birthday and I've been counting down the days since. I've always loved Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, so a play about them is a great thing for me. This is the first play I've ever seen off broadway. Can't tell you just how excited I am. She gave me a gift certificate for a new out fit to wear. She's beautiful inside and out. Just had to share with all of you. So I won't be here for the show sick. I just know you guys are gonna' miss my expertism in the chat.
Let me know how you like it. I've never been a huge fan of Frankie Valli, but this must be a pretty decent show to have picked up the Tonys it did.
I have loved Frankie and the four seasons since I was 13 or 14. I've collected all their albums etc. Saw him a couple of years ago in Columbus, GA and he's still got it. My daughter really loved him. I've seen bits of the show etc. and it looks terrific. And I saw the original cast on the Tony's. I just can't wait.
Only one more day now. You can't imagine how excited I am. The only bad thing is this heat and humidity here is awful. I just look out the window and start sweating. (not kidding) They were supposed to have opened one of the Shulas restaurant in Atlanta, but they haven't yet, so we're eating at a historical hotel across from the Fox. I feel uptown now.
The play was truly wonderful. My daughter and I throughly enjoyed every minute of it. Being that there was not the paparazzi etc. on celebrities backs back when the 4 seasons were so popular, I learned a lot of their stories through this play. The acting, the music, of course, and everything about it was a great experience. Still love me some Four Seasons after all these years....... Plus, the a/c in the Fox was blissfully cool.
