Kiper was in love with Ryan from the get go so I dont doubt that he is going to try and defend him.

He's forgetting that games are won and lost in the trenches and a Franchise LT like Long doesn't come around very often....

We haven't had one since 2000....what year is it again?

Mel Kiper is good for TV. As far as I'm concerned his points are valid.

Yeah not today lol. He was on ESPN arguing with McShay and McShay shut him up. I dont remember the question but McShay asked him something which was a very good point and Kiper looked at him speechlessly and than just said "yes."

When you're beat your beat, fold em and move on to the next question. It's not like we're talking about God here.

I remember that, McShay was like you don't know how well they like him though

Granted I believed if the Ravens didn't draft a corner they would take Best Tackle avaible.

Yeah and I think he said, "well that's risky" to depend on Gaither. And then Kiiper responded with as opposed to another rookie?

Yeah, and last year he villified us for taking Beck when we weren't suppose to. Not b/c we took him, no, he thought Beck was a great pick at that position. He didn't like that we took a QB AND overstepped his golden boy Quinn in the process, making him look bad in front of his friends. He's so consumed with protecting his reputation, he doesn't even realize he's destroying it in the process. Sad, just sad.

I've still yet to hear why Matt Ryan should have been a top 5 pick, or our pick at #1. Just because you don't have a probowler under center doesn't mean you have to take the supposed best QB with your first pick. I understand thinking Henne is overrated. But if you think that I don't see how you like taking Ryan and Flacco where they went.

I think what made Mel Kiper was he came at the same time the draft's popularity picked up and no one did what he did so it wasn't so much he was good but no one else really did what he did.

But now we have other draft experts starting break through and better ones than Mel and as a result it's showing he is nothing but a overrated has been and a tool.

I mean look at that mock draft bran posted, it's horrible, seriously.
