It's an AFC article, but I focused on The Phins. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/jim_trotter/02/11/afc/ I wouldn't say we have an "aging defense" as a whole. We do have some aging parts.(LBs, NT), but we do have some good young pieces in V. Davis, S. Smith, P. Merling, K. Langford, C. Wake, etc. We couldn't fix it all in one draft. If McClain is there at 12, it would be very hard to pass him up, IMO. Dez would be tempting. but we are thin at LB, to say the least. B. Graham would be nice as well. I may like him more than McClain. Again, all of this depends on who will be there when we pick and what we do in FA(Boldin, etc.). I know this staff does not like to go Hog Wild in FA which is a great thing, IMO, but there's still a lot that can happen between now and draft time. It's going to be another tough call. Just be happy we're not looking for a QB this year.
Good read. I think we have a better defense than what people say. It is a lot younger than people give credit for.
We have some talented young pieces, Mike Nolan just needs just needs to add a few more and fit them together.
