Rey Misterio, Jr vs. Superfly Snuka would be a great match of high flyers.

Smackdown was boring imo, other then the "Cutting Edge" interview with Taker. I loved how they put him in the cast and then he appeared on top of the ladder. Hope he wins so there is no calling it quits.

Just watched Raw as I was gone all week. Nothing really too noteworthy other than the Jericho-Michaels match. Those two just seem to get it. Fun match that I want to see again.

I also liked the debut of Ted Dibiase Jr. Curious as to who his tag team partner is. I also liked the subtle nod to history with him calling out Cody Rhodes (for those who don't know, Dusty and Ted Sr. had a heated fued years back). I think it would be awesome to have Ted DiBiase Jr. payoff Dustin to be his tag partner. That could be cool.

The draft is coming back and I couldn't really care less. My prediction: Cm Punk ends up on Raw. Everything else is elementary really.

Yeah good call on that. I was thinking of someone to fight Rey. I was going to put Rob Van Dam, but I wasn't sure if they ever fought. I would have loved to do a Mysterio vs. Liger but I know they did face each other at Starrcade 95, too bad that was over his brain cancer.

RVD and Rey Misterio, Jr. never went up against each other, as far as I know. They did team up and held the tag team titles. And one of their double team moves was called the 4-20 (Because, you know, four legs and 20 is their combined shoe size. :shifty: )

Well if that's the case then I'd rather see RVD vs. Rey over Snuka. I was never a big Snuka guy. I think RVD and Rey would put on a better match.

I literally haven't watched wrestling since the 90's. But I just finished reading Bret Hart's book.
What a freaking read. Since I started reading it, I've found myself slowly starting to watch wrestling again.
But it's not the same, I don't know anyone anymore and there isn't alot of a "wrestling" anymore.
But as far as Hart's book goes, it is a must read.

Best Rey Rey Match I have ever seem is him and Huvi in WCW at Starcade, or any match of Rey's in ECW.

Yeah. I remember one match I saw on Youtube of Konnan and Rey Misterio, Jr vs Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis in ECW.

If you like Rey, you should get both of his WWE DVDs, the guy pre-WWE was a walking/flying 5 star match machine. It's a shame that he turned to steroids and with the extra bulk and injuries that piled up he's not nearly the wrestler he used to be.

Anyway my favorite Rey matches are obviously the match with Eddie at Halloween Havoc in '97, his debut match vs. Dean Malenko at Great American Bash in 96, vs. Pyschosis at Bash at the Beach in '96 and his match against Super Calo at Fall Brawl in '97 I believe.

Dean Malenko had great matches with alot of guys, Rey and Eddie included. he had Eddie had great chemistry in the ring, and torn down the ECW arena several times.

sidebar; supposedly Malenko is the guy who invented the Crippler Crossface, as well as Goldberg's finisher, the Jackhammer.

Malenko invented a lot of moves. Other wrestlers just popularized them.

Haha. Nah it was just a guess. I'm assuming he'll be back by then. It gives him a few months to rest. I think the earliest you'll see him is Summer Slam, the latest a few weeks before WM25. But he'll be back.

No way UT goes out like that. For two decades he has been THE company man. Moreso than any other wrestler ever...in fact. They wouldn't just let him walk out like that. Expect that when he does go out, he gets a celebration probably on a grander scale than Flair got.

Also, was it just me or were the refs REALLY loud tonight? I swear the ref during the Jericho match was downright distracting with his yelling. I wish Jericho would have hit HIM with a chair...

I seem to recall that he needed knee surgery. He may be taking care of that now. The good thing (hopefully) about stars like HBK, UT and Orton being out is that is forces the WWE to put newer guys at the top and see how they pan out. Jeff Hardy has already made his ascension to the top, whether he stays there or not is a point to be debated. But guys like KEnnedy an dBurchill are getting a high profile program and the youngins on ECW seem to be really worth something (Kofi, Benjamin, Punk, Morrison).
