Absolutely. Kurt Angle from 2001 to about 2005 was one of the best wrestlers in the history of wrestling. He could wrestle any style (but high flying) and could get a 5 star match with a boom stick. Just watch his matches with Rey Mysterio, Benoit, The Rock, Michaels, they were absolute classics. Unfortunately injuries and pain killers hurt his career but I really think if he never hurt his neck he could have possibly been the best wrestler ever. i think very highly of Angle and think only Flair and possibly Shawn Michaels in his prime were better.

As for Cena/Rock, I know people hate Cena but that match would be an absolute ratings bombshell and would make huge money for the WWE. The WWE has been trying to get Cena and Rock to fight for 3 years now.

Interesting, I never was a fan of Angle. I think it may have been his character I wasn't a fan of.

Well I think the problem with Angle's character was the WWE jerked him around a lot in the beginning of his career, making him switch between a face and heel and a wrestling machine to a clown too many times. I think once the fans saw he could put on a good match with anyone and he turned into a wrestling machine in 2001 he really took off because he had the look (especially once he went bald),he was very good on the mike and someone that just looked like he could wrestle and just dominate in the ring (something that Ken Shamrock should have been but just wasn't good on the mike or in the ring).

I think people forgot just how good Angle was because of his injuries.

Yeah I hate when they screw up people's character. I am still mad about them taking off Kane's mask and having him work on the spinoroonie. **** was so stupid.

Who's your favorite wrestler? Top 2?

Yeah once Kane lost his mask he lost his appeal.

Ummm favorite wrestler, that's hard, it's like asking what's my favorite ice cream is. I can't say I have a favorite. But some of my all time favorites would probably be:

    -The Rock
    -Kurt Angle
    -Ric Flair
    -Raven
    -Chris Jericho
    -Shawn Michaels
    -Mr. Perfect
    -Macho Man
    -Bret Hart
    -Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase
    -Piper

Benoit would have been there, maybe close to #1 but I can't put a murderer on the list.

The list does change daily though, depending on my mood but Rock, Raven, HBK, Flair, Angle and Jericho are always on it.

Nice list, I see you have Raven. Are we talking about this Raven ? [IMG]

It seems like everyone really likes him, I might have caught the winding down of his career or something because I don't recall him being great. I watched him in the WWE/F, I want to say about '03 but I am not sure if thats the correct year.

For me, my favorites are :

    Stone Cold and Taker.

Yeah that's Raven alright. He could have been a huge star in the business if it wasn't for back office politics and his drug problems. He had a great wrestling mind, was a good worker, could do a great interview, had a unique look and character and had the look. It's just too bad that he wasn't a corporate butt kisser and couldn't say no to drugs. Go watch his early stuff in ECW in the mid to late 90s if you can. Even his first year in WCW. He was great.

I'm shocked (although not really) that the WWF dropped the ball on his character because he would have made for a big time heel for Austin to fight. But of course McMahon hated him and the writers wouldn't let him go his own ideas and didn't get his character. It's too bad.

I don't know why but I was never a big Kane fan. I mean I liked him in his first year with the WWF in 97 and 98 but I thought his act got stale quickly to me, but then again I never liked the big guys. But hey more power to him as he's been in the WWF for almost 15 years now (although under different names) but that's a big deal especially nowdays.

I don't know why but I just liked him. I think it was just the unique character and was great with the mike. I just happened to be watching ECW one night and he was on and I always like heels a little bit more growing up and he hooked me. His matches told a great story and he bumped like a mad man in the ring.

Check out some of his matches with Tommy Dreamer and Sandman in ECW and his matches with Benoit and DDP in WCW.

Nah, the only wrestling books I've read are all of the Mick Foley books, any wrestling book by Scott Keith, Ric Flair's, The Rock's, HBK's, Hogan's (I got it for 2 bucks), Stone Cold's, Bischoffs, WrestleCrap and Sex, Lies and Headlocks (very interesting read).

Haha, yes I was a wrestling nerd growing up and my summer job during high school and college I had a lot of free time so I'd read a lot during my breaks so I'd just buy a wrestling book to help me kill time.

Nope and probably never will due to naming copyrights and law suits (a big reason why there are no Demolition matches on WWE dvds), as well as Crush being dead, Ax can't wrestle anymore and Smash is way too old and fat now.

Back in 1997 there was talk of making a new Demolition with first Crush and Brian Lee (aka fake The Undertaker in '94 and Chainz of DOA in 97-98) and then in 2001 when Crush came back to the WWF, Bryan Clarke (aka Adam Bomb and Wrath) but they just stayed as Kronic like they were in WCW.

    Thanks.

I believe both Ray and Jacques work as agents/back stage with the WWE, they might also run a wrestling school and/or promotion up in Canada. But again both are too old and out of shape to wrestle anymore.

They did have a sweet entrance song and were a very talented tag team, too bad they were in the WWF during the tag team boom with other great teams as Hart Foundation, Strike Force, Demolition, Rockers, and Bulldogs because they could have had a nice title run.

Ax was on the last Road Warriors bio DVD that WWE made. Man if you seen him on the streets you would have NO idea he use to be a wrestler.
