There was a segment done last week on TNA regarding Sting and Warrior's professional careers. Sting stated that they were at odds after they split up a few years into their careers and have been ever since I believe. Someone correct me if they saw this interview.

Oh ok, maybe throw a blurb in next time. I read it and thought thatyou thought it was breaking news or something. :hi5:

BTW< Raw was terrible tonight. Why get rid of Regal when he is really in his stride as the GM/wrestler? I assume they plan on using him more as a wrestler going forward, but still, he won't garner the amount of heat he is getting now.

He plays a power hungry prick to a tee. I suppose if they move him to Smackdown and he wins a title, he can get some of it back, but I think it was a mistake to take him out of that role.

Sorry about not being clear on it bro .

yeah Raw was boring as hell last night.

Well, there it is. Regal is an idiot. He had a cush gig as the G.M. of Raw and will now forever be stuck as a jobber-second tier werestler. I can't believe he did this...again. Considering Regal's own personal drug history and drinking of the past, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that he is doping again. It is just sad because the guy has always had legit talent in all facets of the industry but can never seem to get out of his own way.

Maybe he wasn't happy with the "cush" position. Maybe thats why he did it.

Vicky Guerrero just made an announcement that at One Night Stand it will be Taker vs Edge in a TLC match. And if Taker loses, he is banned from the WWE. Seriously? TLC match? I think this may signal Taker's career winding down. He might be calling it quits?

  13. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

 Hardly. As a rule of thumb, retirement matches where the stipulation is only for one guy, that guy will win. They do it to build suspense and buyrates, but no intentions of having Taker retire. There had been no scuttlebutt of UT hanging it up and news would have broken by now if that were the case.

True but TLC match? I don't really what to say other than why? Make it a hell in the cell match or something.

Also, wanted your opinion on somethings. May not be a big deal but not sure if you have seen that Mick Foley is an analyst now. What are your thoughts on it? Also, what are your thoughts on the stripping of the title from Taker? I wish they would just let him do his thing and let him defend it for a period than lose it to possibly CM.

Foley I think, in time has the ability to be good as a color man, however he is not there yet. One thing that JR does well and Cole is getting better at is speaking in soundbytes. Meaning when they put together those awesome video packages of highlights to hype a match, JR's voice and Cole's voice is often put in because they oversell and dramatize an event which, in the context of that match, may seem silly, but for future use in clips, is perfect.

The other part of that is knowing when to speak, when not to speak and when to banter it up with your co-host. Remember, these guys are not only calling the match, but promoting future events and putting over storylines all with an earpiece in for direction from the back.

One thing I would like to see is a heel color guy. Kind of how Lawler USED to be and how Ventura was. Bobby Hennan was great as a color guy because he sided with the heels no matter what. Personally, I think it helps the home audience develop more of a hatred towards the heel when someone is obviously agreeing with their shady tactics. Which leads to more heel heat for the wrestlers, which in turns means more face reactions for the good guys. I have always thought Ted Dibiase and Jake the Snake would make great color guys...

As for the title stripping. I don't like it. I am an old school guy when it comes to titles. I like for someone to hold it for awhile and lose it cleanly in a match. If you keep changing the title every week and stripping people ofit, it causes people to lose interest in the long run. They will see it as nothing more than a piece of jewelry that everyone gets to where.

I think stripping of titles should happen in extreme situations only (i.e. the champ is legit hurt, leaving the company for some reason or he "won" in such a highly controversial way is needs tending to). I also think that when the title is stripped, a tournament is the best way to crown a new one. But thats just me. I love tournaments. :)

JR actually had a gaffe on the mic though when talking about Dibiase, unless they are choosing to ignore this piece of history... JR said Ted Dibiase Jr. was another "2nd generation star," a la Cody Rhodes. but Ted Dibiase Jr. is actually a third genreation star; his grandmother wrestled, as did her husband, (his step grandad) Iron Mike Dibiase.

    Just for fun:

So I was bored at work today and started thinking about a dream PPV and came up with a couple of dream matches. The rules I used were that the people wrestling couldn't have ever fought each other before on a PPV or TV match (like RAW, Smackdown, Nitro etc and each wrestler could only be used once.

Here's the card I came up with and my explaination, matches in no particular order.

-Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin- the two biggest names in wrestling history

-The Rock vs. John Cena- basically the only real dream match that is possible, both guys are great on the mike and have similar star power

-Ric Flair vs. Kurt Angle- can you imagine watching this match during the prime of both of these guys career before injuries and age caught up to them, it would be an absolute wrestling classic and the build up with these guys on the mike would be great

-Shawn Michaels vs. Sting- the utlimate WWF vs. WCW match that fan boys were crying for in the late 90s

-The Undertaker vs. Andre The Giant- two of the biggest big men in wrestling, sure it would be a crap match but fun to picture

-Triple H vs. Macho Man Randy Savage- again another great match on paper both in the ring and on the mike, add in the fact of the Macho slept with Stephanie McMahon rumor.

-Ultimate Warrior vs. Goldberg- two of the most unstoppable wrestlers in history

-Steiner Brothers vs. British Bulldogs- would be a great great tag match

-Owen Hart vs. Chris Jericho- would have been a great wrestling match

-Bret Hart vs. Eddie Guerrero- see Jericho/Owen

-The Outsiders vs. New Aged Outlaws- two of the most popular and successful tag teams

-Legion of Doom vs. Dudley Boys- just because the LOD have to be on a supercard and they pretty much fought everyone

-Mick Foley vs. Rowdy Roddy Piper- would be a fun brawl and great war of words

-Jake the Snake vs. Raven- battle of the DDTs plus the promos would be epic if both were sober

-Hardy Boys vs. The Brain Busters- would be a good match up

-Edge vs. Mr. Perfect- good match up

-Big Show vs. Vader- nice battle of the big men

Vince McMahon vs. Paul Heymen vs. Eric Bischoff- just because these guys were the heads of the biggest companys in the 90s.

Anyway feel free to discuss or add more, just figured it would be fun.
