Good to see Cory Rhodes finally started taking steroids and now doesn't look like a high school wrestler.

 

finally watched "The Wrestler." it was ok, but i was underwhelmed. guess it had been built up too much.

i did think that Mickey Rourk was outstanding. not sure how they could justify giving Marisa Tomei an academy award for her performance but not Rourk. although she was was a thoroughly convincing stripper.

 

read last night that WWE released Mr Kennedy... wonder what that is all about after he just returned?

He got hurt at the end of RAW yet again and the WWE just didn't feel like they could get behind his character and keep trying to push him when everytime he comes back he's hurt a few weeks later. Of course he's been in the WWE's doghouse ever since he shot his mouth off after the Benoit deaths about how he never took steroids and 2 weeks later info came out that he was getting shipments online, which also killed the McMahon son storyline that was going to give him a mega push. I also think he failed a few drug tests for them as well.

 

Such a shame.

Yeah he's probably a lock to go to TNA.

 

Word going around is that Randy Orton was upset at Kennedy after the RAW main event and complained to Vince about how Kennedy was pretty sloppy during the match and almost injuried Orton on a botched suplex.

At least Triple H backed it up in the ring from 1998 to 2002ish and then a short period around 2003 & 2004 when he was working with Shawn Michaels before he blew out his second quad.

While I'm no Orton fan by any means, the WWE is banking a lot of money on him as the future. Kennedy already injuried Cena a few years ago and Kennedy was no angle backstage. I think it's really unfair to bury Orton for this one. Kennedy did it to himself and if he didn't get fired this week, he probably would have a month from now.

 

Randy Orton got Manu fired?

 

I gotta agree that it's all on Kennedy in regards to his release. I think it's most likely due to being a loudmouth and being injury prone. I'd be shocked if it was due to someone like Orton complaining about him.

And man, Kennedy had Main Eventer written all over him 2 or 3 years ago, right before he was supposed to get the Vince's son storyline. Instead he's likely going to be remembered as someone who could never quite break through.

I expect him to go to TNA, which may actually be a pretty good fit for him. He'll likely have less of a schedule, which means his odds of being injured are cut down.

 

Speaking of TNA, our old friend Mick Foley is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion now.

 

TNA has turned into the retirement home of pro wrestling. what differentiated it for me, was the X Division and young guys. guess they didnt draw the ratings they wanted.

now i can barely watch it, except for the Beautiful People. when those two chicks are on camera, i pay attention.

 

Eh, kind of but not really. Manu had a pretty big attitude backstage since he grew up in the business. He walked around like he was a 20 year veteran and basically didn't really show any of the real veterans any respect. One day he pissed Orton off by doing something and Orton got in his face and basically told him he was crap in this business and he had to earn it, that nothing was going to be given to him no matter who his father was etc. After that Orton's backstage rep shot up and Manu still didn't listen so the WWE fired him.

I actually dislike Orton. I think his character is boring and he's not that good of a wrestler. There are tons of other guys that should be on the top of the card than him. CoughJERICHOcough.

yeah I can't stand him. Even when he tries to be all evil, it just comes off as stooooooooooooooooopid and too pretty boyish. Like when he's stalking someone for an rko, hate it.

 

So, One Night... Er... I mean Extreme Rules is tonight. It seems like all the World Title matches (with the exception of Batista vs Randy Orton) will be very entertaining.

 

And Chris Jericho unmasked Rey.

Yeah. Chris Jericho's my favorite heel now. He actually makes me forget that he isn't the despicable character that he portrays.

Tommy Dreamer became ECW Champion.

CM Punk defeated Umaga in a strap match.

 

awesome call on the tommy dreamer championship I think, that will be pretty unexpected.

I would like to see the submission match Cena is going to be in. It will actually be a chance to show that he could wrestle.
