Absolutely NOTHING I can add on to the Ryder posts. Spot on.

Looking back I wish he and Ziggler could have had a long feud for the US Title since they are both buried anyway.

Or just put the US title back on Ziggler. Sure it's meaningless but maybe if Ziggler got a Honky Tonk Man type run with it he could bring back some credibility with it. I mean right now it's just being wasted on Marella. Why not just give the title back to Zack Ryder and hope maybe with him carrying the belt around they can get a few extra US title belt sales at house shows. Or give it to Del Rio and have him rename it the Central American Championship. It would get him cheap heat in the process and when the WWE goes to Mexico it would help with a potential gate to have him as a champion there.

You guys realize that guys have to lose sometimes, right?

Just because a guy loses in a tag match doe snot mean he is getting buried, or de-pushed. It means that they are furthering the progression of another character, or even the character that loses.

It reminds me of George Takei who famously held out of one of the Star Trek movies because his character wasn't a "captain," of his own ship. Nevermind the fact that his character would have gotten more screen time had he maintained his position on the Enterprise, George insisted on the writers making Sulu a captain, and thus, he got his wish...and only a cameo appearance in the movie as opposed to a co-starring role.

Sometimes a guy is scheduled to lose for the bigger story to be told.

Ryder is being buried, I agree. But I also tend to think that my feelings on his character are very much in line with WWE's in that its not a long-term moneymaker. There is probably also some truth that since he was self-made, that perhaps Vince and Co., are bitter. But keep in mind that Zach isn't too great of a worker wither. He has the potential and look to be, but in many ways, he is very green with his in ring work.

It would behoove the WWE to steer is career in a more sustainable direction while still allowing his personality to shine through. But building around a guy who does a parody of Jersey shore, which itself is now passe, isn't a great move.

And again, we are talking about a company that has CM Punk as its top champion and Daniel Bryan as a main eventer right now. It is awfully hard to complain about them dropping the ball with people when they just clearly aren't.

WWE is in a transitional mode right now. The Attitude guys are all but gone, the generation that came after them has left a couple of bright spots for the company (Cena being the most noteworthy) and they are trying to get others to up their game. Punk, Ziggler, Rhodes, Kofi, Miz, Bryan, and a couple of others are who they are looking to build around going forward. Very much. I'm willing to sacrifice a couple of guys as it all shakes out. Ryder is probably one of those guys.

Not everyone gets to be world champion.

Sam I totally do understand that. It is the WAY WWE makes certain guys lose. They had Ryder absolutely lay down for Del Rio who he has absolutely no storyline with. Made him tap within seconds of Del Rio applying his submission and had him also lay down for Miz the week before AND at the PPV. Before that they had him crippled being attacked by Kane.

I agree his character needs to be a bit more serious and he could add some moves to his set but I find him entertaining in ring. He has a great finishing move and is ridiculously athletic for his size. Sometimes that is more fun to watch than someone who maybe is good in a technical sense (Sheamus?) but just boring.

The thing I miss about old WWE is that the storyline was always set up so that whichever guy won the story could progress for him. Now you know who is going to win every week and who they obviously don't like.

Of course guys need to lose. Hell the best thing to happen to Daniel Bryan was to lose in 18 seconds. Without Austin losing to Bret Hart at SS'96 or WM13 he doesn't come close to becoming the HOF megasuperduperstar he was. But what exactly is the stories that the WWE is further pushing with either Ryder or Ziggler right now? They have zero for either guy and that's the bigger problem. They keep doing the start push, stop push almost weekly with these guys because they change their mind so much.

My problem with the WWE's treatment of Ryder is they have no problem using him for merchandise sales or putting his YouTube show on their YouTube channel but they refuse to push him when the fans wanted to see him. He was actually one of the more over guys on the roster and instead of milking his gimmick (which I agree was limited self life but so was John Cena's or Triple H's original gimmick) until it started to get stale, they decided to just kill his character for freaking Kane, a guy that hasn't been over or a draw in over 10 years. And for what? 2 crappy PPV matches with Cena that didn't draw at all and people still don't care about Kane. The WWE pissed away money. Look I'm not saying Ryder should be World champion (although again to be fair when Triple H first debuted in 1995 did anyone think he'd have a shot?) but he deserved much better. I mean the WWE has no problems pushing The Great Khali who can barely walk or continue on with Santino as US Champion for what reason? But hey let's keep de-pushing Ryder but hey kids buy the new WWWYKI pink sunglasses and new Ryder or Riot t-shirt. And coming soon Ryder's WooWooWooDVD.

Again right now the WWE's business is down. Buy rates are down, ratings are down, house show gates are down so much they the WWE is bringing back guys from the Attitude Era and paying them big money with hopes they can draw interest. Well if you have a wrestler the fans are actually starting to enjoy and get behind why on earth would you not try to push the guy and see what happens? Sometimes it's getting lucky with a wrestler being in the right place at the right time, maybe it's not the plan the WWE had but hey if they have an opportunity to find a possible diamond in the ruff don't you try to ride it out? You don't throw the diamond out because you were looking for something else.

Let's see what the WWE does with Daniel Bryan because right not they're sitting on a gold mine. They wanted a 18 second victory to shock people not to get Bryan more over with the crowd. Now that he's the 2nd hottest act the WWE has behind Brock let's see what they do with him. Remember this is the same company that nearly killed Punk's run in the fall.

The WWE had a perfect opportunity to turn Ryder into a serious character the night after WM when he was fighting The Miz. He started off just beating the crap out of him, they should have just had the two guys get into a wild brawl, have the match end in a no contest and set up a rematch for the PPV. And start hyping up Ryder's new mean streak since he got beat up by Kane, dumped by Eve and lost at WM he's not the goofball anymore instead he's taking things seriously. Instead they let Ryder get 2 minutes of punches and offense in and then Miz beats him a minute later. No storytelling at all and what did it do for Miz? He beat Ryder, big deal.

They just don't have any long term planning sense.

Honestly I'd LOVE if WWE released Ryder. Provided he goes and signs with TNA. He could be HUGE there. They are in need of a true "face" that the fans love and adore. The closest thing they have is James Storm and he's more of a Stone Cold type, everyone loves him but he's mainly just an *** kicking machine like Austin was. A face who isn't a "babyface"

Ryder could fill that void for them. Granted his character is a little more serious.

According to The Rock WrestleMania did a 1.3 buy rate and made 67 million dollars on it alone. So everyone in the back whining about Rock being back and not drawing can officially shut up.

He had a "match" with Kane that went maybe 2 minutes with Kane beating the crap out of him.

I'm actually done talking about Ryder, it's clear he's never getting a chance in the WWE again. It sucks.

Yeah he's actually one of the main guys that got me back into WWE hardcore again after I stopped watching a while. Poor Ryder.

On a plus note, Henry and Punk was a pretty good match. They have more in ring chemistry than I'd have imagined. Also how exactly is a "Chicago Street Fight" different than a regular street fight

Yes I know that but sometimes Mexico is grouped in with the other Central American countries and calling it the North American Championship won't get him any heel heat. Originally I was going to call it the Mexican Championship but switched it to Central American Championship as it played off the US title name a bit better and could appeal to more than just Mexico.

It's really funny how much TNA and WWE rip from each other when you really watch. Epico-Primo and Rosa are a rip off of the tag team Mexican-America in TNA for example. Speaking of Mexico. Or a couple months ago I forget what it was, but I was watching TNA and thought "Hey I just saw that on Raw a while ago!" and then watching Raw a while later "Hey I just saw that on TNA a few weeks ago!"

One of my favorites debuts on Friday Night Smackdown this week. Excellent wrestler and a natural heel. Not sure how or if he will be handcuffed in the WWE but if not, I am confident most of you will like him too.

    Also, Dean Ambrose is coming...

The Mad cartoon on Cartoon Network had a CM Punk skit.

Basically he was selling bunk beds made of wrestling mat and ropes  called Punk Beds (Bunk beds get it)

Best part was when he said it comes with a guarantee you get to bed in a timely manner....even if he has to help you himself. He then picks up a little kid and screams "GO TO SLEEP" and hits him with the GTS. It was lame but funny.

UGH I forgot this was a 3 Hour raw.

Ummm BULL**** Stone Cold drank beer in the ring! Horrible Horrible writing in this CM Punk storyline! Watching this I am beyond PISSED. This is horrible. Hoping Punk mashes someones face with the title.

Okay this is turning from horrible to amazing

Okay to end my running commentary....well played Mr. Punk. Well played.

Brock Lesnar hates stupid people... boy was his mic work terrible. It took FOREVER for him to get to a point.

Wasn't it the Dudley Boyz? Whatever, Kane is still awful, just more so now.

Yeah this is why Brock shouldn't have even been on the show tonight or the WWE should have just sucked it up and hired Paul Heyman as his mouth piece. Brock talking live isn't going to help sell the match, although his taped promos weren't bad.

I really hope the WWE doesn't have Brock wrestle on RAW, keep his matches just on PPVs to give him that specialness about him and make his matches seem like a really big deal.

I didn't think he was that bad on the mic other than the "It's a feeling you really feel because I can feel it" line.

Caught the last 15 minutes or so of Raw last night, including the Ziggler / Swagger "match" against Brodius Clay and most of the Brock Lesnar promo with Laurenitis.

I had forgotten how awkward Brock could be when cutting a live promo. The video package hyping him before he came out was slick, but he still hasn't improved on the mike much at all.

Still it's refreshing to see that WWE is pushing someone besides Kane or Mark Henry as a monster heel.

Thinking about it, the Punk skit would have been so much more badass with this ending. (In my opinion)

While he was walking the line and doing the alphabet backwards, he should have went with this. "J...I...H.." then turned to Jericho "G...T....S" and made him go to sleep.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to extreme rules more than I was wrestlemania.

He's not very good on it. Someone like Brock needs a mouth piece, like his manager do all the talking outside of the ring and let Brock dominate inside. That's what made him so effective in his first run because Heyman was great on the mike. Lesnar didn't have to worry about cutting a promo, just worry about his in ring stuff. The WWE should have just rehired Heyman and let the two do what they do best.

The Punk/Jericho skirt was pretty bad in my opinion. If you didn't see how it was going to play out before Punk even hit the ring than you never watched wrestling before in your life. I think the whole Punk/Jericho build up has been pretty weak. Again what's wrong with two guys just having a match against each other to prove who's the best? Why add this storyline into the mix? It's pointless really.

I think the most interesting match on the PPV will be Bryan vs. Sheamus, simply because I have no clue what's going to happen in it. The fans have already turned Bryan into the 2nd hottest act in the WWE now behind Lesnar and turned on Sheamus who's suppose to be a heel. If Sheamus wins I think the fans are going to go nuts. You have to wonder if the WWE is going to cave under the pressure from the fans (they already switched their original plan to have it be Sheamus vs. Del Rio at the PPV due to Bryan's rise in popularity) or if they're going to continue to try and push Sheamus. Adding to the fact the PPV is in Chicago and those crowds are always jacked up and among the best crowds. Should be a fun night really.

This is why I think it was brilliant actually. The way WWE has been burying people, bringing in people no-one cares about and overall ruining their product....I thought they might actually strip Punk of the title yes. It worked for me because I was waiting for WWE to make another huge mistake and piss me off. Yes it's pretty obvious what was going to happen, but the way the writing has been lately honestly I expected them to do something stupid.

Also I wouldn't consider Sheamus a heel even now. I mean he is supposed to be obviously but I can't take it serious. He's just got that good guy smile.

Sheamus is suppose to be a face but because he's going up against Bryan he's going into the match as the heel. Bryan is suppose to be a heel but the fans love him so much they keep cheering for him. It's funny because Sheamus has never gotten any reaction close to what he's getting now and it's all due to Bryan. Sheamus, since WM, has probably been the most over heel in the company, go figure. He's been getting boo'ed out of house shows and the dark matches when he faces Bryan, it's unreal. He's going to get boo'ed out of the building on Sunday too.
