Where did this come from? It's not surprising there would be some sour grapes. If Hollywood came calling Punk would hit the road too.

Punk was giving an interview with some radio station and was asked about The Rock and went off on him. And of course if Hollywood came calling Punk would hit the road too, hell if Cena's movies did well at the box office he'd be in Hollywood instead of wrestling now too. Any wrestler would.

Divas tag team match has been added to WM. Beth Phoenix and Eve vs. Kelly Kelly and some chick from E!. At least the WWE now has a filler match to put in front of Rock/Cena so the crowd can go to the bathroom, buy merch and/or food.

It's interesting, because I've seen a few FCW Diva matches, and they are quality stuff. What happened when they get called up?

WWE limits them in what they can and can't do during the match. Same thing with the men.

To a degree I agree and to a degree I don't. I read an interview with Punk where he said he could never wrestle again and live his same lifestyle the rest of his life because he doesn't spend money at all. Now I'm not saying he or anyone else wouldn't go to a better paying career if they could, but some people don't do their job for financial gain they do it because they love it.

Hell in the NBA Udonis Haslem got offers for a LOT more money from other teams but chose to stay in Miami because he loves the city. Different situation but same principal. Sometimes you stay with what you love.

I agree with Alex on this one, I think Punk rather wrestle then do movies, even if he had the opportunity... I agree with Edge when it comes to people not making the wrestle mania card because "the rock took a potential spot" If you are good enough to make the card, you will. The Rock is not taking anyone spot away.

Not just for the money aspect but the travel, the easier lifestyle and of course not having to kill your body every night and die early because of it. Ok so maybe Punk would stay wrestling instead of running of Hollywood (although who knows if he truly would or not he doesn't exactly have the opportunity to do it or will even be close to getting a shot) but the point is 99% of the guys in the WWE or TNA or wherever would gladly give up wrestling for Hollywood for the reasons listed above and also to be a bigger star. Heck even Triple H he tried the Hollywood route and he's part owner of the WWE.

And yes Edge is 100% correct, The Rock didn't take anyone's spot and he's going to be putting more money in everyone's pockets by showing up 8 or 9 times a year. Just shut up about it because no one in the back is The Rock.

WWE is reporting Cena was in a car accident in Philly. He was in a car and it got rear ended. Seems like it's a bit of a work, just strange they would report something like that. Anyway with 2 weeks to go to WM, you'd think they would put both Cena and The Rock in a bubble just in case.

EDIT: Doesn't seem like a work. It appears the WWE reported it first to beat out the TMZ sites.

Why do guys love pro wrestling? Because they love to perform. Right? It's not legitimate fighting so it has to be the performance and the showmanship. Doing movies is also performing but it's a lot easier on your body, it can pay more if you make it big, and you don't have to travel constantly. Punk would go to Hollywood if they called. I don't believe for a second that he wouldn't. We're not talking about a job that is drastically different. It's performing, acting, etc. just on a bigger stage and with less of a physical toll.

No I think what he means is that being a wrestler you're essentially performing into front of a crowd much like an actor would do on stage for a play or on a movie set. And there's not a major difference between the two except you're beating up your own body when you wrestle.

The majority of the wrestlers today weren't even wrestling fans growing up, they are either failed football players, muscle heads or guys trying to use the WWE to get expose on TV and try their luck in Hollywood (much like people using reality TV shows to try and get noticed).

Yes pretty much. They love the theater that is pro wrestling. I mean if they were in love with the 'fighting' aspect of it [there really isn't one in pro wrestling] then they would go to MMA or something.

    Some minor news:

Yokozuna is going into the HOF, WWE.com reported it today. It had been speculated since Jan that he would go in.

Also there are only 2 spots left (1 for each team) in the 12 man tag team match, here's what the teams look like so far:

    Team Teddy:
Zack Ryder, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Santino Marella and The Great Khali

    Team Johnny:
Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, Christian and David Otunga

Some of the rumored names for the last two spots are Rey Mysterio or Evan Bourne for Team Teddy and Alberto Del Rio and The Miz for Team Johnny. Obviously a lot depends on the health of both Mysterio and Del Rio as it seems like that's who the WWE is hoping to put in the match.

And there are rumors that The Miz is going to be part of The Rock/Cena main event somehow to play off of last year but I'd be pretty surprised if that were the case since The Miz has been in the WWE dog house for months now. But I guess we'll see.

Great a match of mostly scrubs to see who gets control of both shows  okay maybe not scrubs but Khali, Otunga, Santino and Swagger shouldn't be deciding the fate of ANYTHING in WWE.

They should have done this at another PPV and included Punk on team Teddy.

I'm not disagreeing that most would, I just think it is a sad commentary on the state of not only WWE but our entire country. Everything revolves around money and that is more than slightly disgusting to me.

Again I disagree putting Punk on a PPV match for Team Teddy, simply because people hardily care about the storyline to begin with and putting Punk in a random tag team match will do nothing to help the buyrate. It would simply be a waste of a spot for Punk. At the end of the day who cares who's running RAW and/or Smackdown.

It's not just about the money (although that is a major thing) but it's about getting out of a business that kills your body and unfortunately sometimes kills you young from the abuse of living the wrestling lifestyle. Wrestling although it's fake in who wins or loses but the bumps, travel and pain are real. Being a wrestler is like being in the mafia, you can't get out. Guys that retire are back with in weeks, months or years because they either need the money (Flair) or just can't give up being in the spotlight (Hogan). You know how depressing it is to watch a Ric Flair match from 1989 and then watch a Ric Flair match from say 2002? Shawn Michaels having to retire in 1998 probably saved his life as it got him off the road, off pain pills and got his body to rest for 4 years. Other guys aren't so lucky. Dynamite Kid, one of the best wrestlers ever, is in a wheelchair because of the abuse to his body. And how Scott Hall or Jake Roberts are still alive today is a miracle in itself.

Bottom line is it's a crap business, guys are dying way to early because of the abuse to their bodies so when a guy has a better opportunity he should take it, run and never look back.

Rumor is the WWE is looking to announce the main event for WM29 at the RAW after WM28. The WWE liked the slow year long build. Some of the rumored names being thrown out for a possible main event are John Cena, The Rock, The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

If I were the WWE I wouldn't announce the WM a year in advance, they got lucky that neither Cena or The Rock hurt themselves why tempt fate like that again? I would like to see a John Cena/Undertaker WM match since it really is one of the last true dream matches left (Cena/Taker fought each other I believe one or twice on Smackdown back in 2002 or 2003 so its been way to long for people to remember). And the majority of people wouldn't know who would win going into it.

    Rock vs Austin

Rock: I'm the best part time wrestler in WWE today!

Austin: Well I'm Stone Cold Steve Austin and I disagree! So I say why not lay off wrestling for a year and fight at wrestlemania to determine who needs the least work to be effective in the ring!

I would be surprised only because it's been done at WM 3 other times before but since both guys aren't active it really doesn't benefit anyone. We're more likely to get Austin or Rock vs. Punk for example that way you have an active wrestler around that could actually benefit from the high profiled match.

Depending on how well Austin can move it could be. Certainly the promos would be good. The match might be a major clash of styles though.

Rumor going around is that the WWE originally wanted to announce Rock/Cena for WM29 however, their plan is to have Rock/Cena 2 at Summer Slam, so Rock/Cena 3 would be at WM but many in the WWE feel it could hurt if they announce the main event at WM29 only to have another match between the two 6 months before it. So the WWE is kicking around the idea of announcing an Undertaker match instead. One of the match ideas floating around is The Rock vs. The Undertaker, that way it will give the fans something 'new' and the WWE can still run their Rock/Cena rematch at Summer Slam and then have the tie breaker match sometime in the future.

Personally I don't want to see another Rock/Cena match at WM no matter how good their match at WM28 is. I would like to see The Rock wrestle someone new/different. Whether it be someone like CM Punk or someone else by then. Although Rock/Undertaker is definitely interesting although the match would probably be kind of blah since their styles never matched up well in the past.

Of course the WWE's big money match would definitely be Brock vs. Undertaker.

I read a thing with Punk about how he's wanted to be in a match with Stone Cold pretty much his whole life. So I think on a huge stage like that they could find a way to pull it off.

Foley tweeted that Teddy Long left a message on his voicemail and that he (Foley) might have to show up on RAW on Monday. So it looks like Foley will be the 6th guy on Team Teddy. Personally I'd rather have a Foley vs. Ziggler singles match instead of throwing both guys in a 12 man tag match.

Newest rumor about the WM29 main event is that somehow Shawn Michaels will cost Triple H the match against the Undertaker causing Triple H to call out Shawn Michaels the next night on RAW to set up a match between the two at WM29, thus giving Michaels a year to get back into ring shape. Apparently the seeds have been planted when The Undertaker told Triple H that "Shawn was always better than you" which is going to lead to Triple H being jealous of HBK and thus wanting to prove to everyone who's the better wrestler.

Personally I hope this isn't the cause and Michaels just stays retired, but again wrestling is like the mob where there's only one way you get out of the life. Plus I'm not really interested in a Michaels/Triple H match anyway. If Michaels was going to wrestle again have him wrestle The Rock, since the two never wrestled before and it is one of the few dream matches left.
