Time: 6:27 (supposedly) Channel: local Fox affiliate Injuries: GB -Erik Walden is likely out Pittsburgh: -Pouncey is out -Aaron Smith likely won't play Spread: GB by 2.5 Over Under 44 pts Announcers: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman Well, to me, I would like to see the Packers take home the win, the Stealers jobbed us early in the season and I think maybe the Franchise is a bit arrogant. Who ya got?
My prediction is that the Packers win and it's not going to be as close as everybody thinks. I think the Pouncy injury is damning. The Pitt run game will struggle to control Raji and Matthews will be an even more disruptive pass rusher than usual. GB will be able to minimize Polamalu's impact by spreading them out and making him cover and Rodgers will get rid of the ball quick enough on most instances where they do blitz. Last game they only sacked Rodgers once and Rodgers is playing much better now. Pitt and Big Ben will still pull out some plays, but it won't be enough. GB wins 35 - 24.
I’m not sure about that. The Steelers have won two Super Bowls without someone named Pouncey on the team.
I think the packers corner backs make the difference, it allows them to play man and take away Miller.
i want the packers, but i have a feeling that aaron rodgers is going to have the whole game on his shoulders and he may toss a couple of picks and the steelers can score with a short field. i think the running game on both sides is going to be important, which isnt how i usually think. i think the steelers will win by grinding the clock and forcing some 3 and outs on teh packers because they cant run the ball. then again, the packers have a good punter, so they can potentially negate potential field position advantages. this game has so many points and counterpoints, its amazing. but i think for all the high flying plays that both teams can make, a lot of it will be determined in the trenches. if the pack can somehow break a couple of runs and make the pouncey injury a real problem, i can see how raf would say that this one might not be close of course, the counterpoint is that many times the steelers have looked like crap for 3 quarters and have the ability to erase it all with a few plays
nfl playbook had an outstanding illustration of how the steelers can kill teams by running on nickel defenses out of the bunch formation and then playaction out of the bunch against an adjusted defense. something to watch for
I got those videos up on my blog.. http://footballpressbox.blogspot.com/2011/02/pre-super-bowl-reading-material.html
Rooting for the Pack, but yeah, the Steelers (and / or the refs) will find a way to win this one for the Stelers. .
I think this will be a fairly high scoring game personally. Look for the Pack to emulate the Cardinals offense in the second half of Pitt's last super bowl - spread em out and gun it. As long as Rodgers doesn't toss a few picks and the GB OL can hold up Packers win. If Pitt's rushers get to Rodgers and put him on the ground then Pitt will take this one.
BJ is a great football player, He will impact the game with that matchup... I got the packers...Greg Jennings MVP..
whats the name of that character that jamie fox does in his standup?, some ghetto chick slightly crosseyed..lol?
Any one notice how quiet it's been? No fatass or his people talking crap for two weeks. It's good to see two of the most classy and respectful organizations in all sports go at it for a title.
That organization is a train wreck, add in Sanchez bagging a 17 yr old and it is something every week with that Franchise.
This Super Bowl just becomes more and more a PR nightmare for Jones and the NFL, hundreds of fans who bought tickets at $900 a clip, spent money on airline tickets and hotels are being told their seats are not available, apparently in their greed to pack in as many fans as they can into the stadium they built seats they were rejected as unsafe by the Dallas Fire Marshall.

Wow. They have any shot at a class-action law-suit? They don't get their travel & lodge back but what's a Superbowl experience worth?
Good question, I am sure they got a great case, either way day by day I become a less of a fan of Goodell, this might be mostly on Jones but we already knew he was a shyster, but the commissioner has to take responsibility as well.
Charles Woodson looks like he is ready to roll, who knows what Ben was thinking while watching Aguleira sing....Mike Tomlin looks way to hip hop on the sidelines.
