Didn't see this posted in the thread anywhere, but did you guys hear about this? I know I may be dreaming, but I want Otis to find a way to get it done.
somehow? LOL. yet if the Heat added Lebron..it wouldn't? I could have swore I read that somewhere.... are you guys really saying that Wade/Howard is better than Wade/Lebron? anyway...this is not possible. Under any circumstance.
than Lebron. I would rather bang Scarlett Johansen than my wife. Maybe he meant Howard coming here.....much more realistic.
Maybe Wade will have a Tebow moment and sign for a little less to play with Howard. At this point he's made enough money. He should just want titles.
Doubt it, Dwight just signed an extension recently, and Wade is a unrestricted free-agent. If Dwyane really wants to play with Dwight(in Orlando), he can easily force the issue with the Heat. Again, not saying it will happen.
like he can;t get them here....plus the money. (He WON ONE here..remember?) we got the most cap space of any team...remember? BTW..it isn;t a little less.... the Magic can offer Wade about oh......85 million dollars less than the heat. just a tad shy. LOL.
If Dwight Howard wants to play with him...he can ALSO force the issue and at least the Heat would have some pieces worth trading for. seriously...some Magic fans want to offer Bass, Gortat and Vince. Don;t be Jet fans with delusions. Come on guys. don't be Jet fans.
Yea lol I was the one who said it wouldn't. I'll admit I'm being a bit of a homer, but to me Howard/Wade is better than Wade/Lebron. A Big man with a scoring threat by his side just kicks ***. And obviously this isn't going to happen.
No one is saying this is going to happen. You keep thinking we're the ones who mentioned this, but it was in fact your superstar who said he would like to come down to Orlando and play with Howard, in Orlando. Obviously, this isn't going to happen, but then again you never know.
I read the article....it did not read like that. He did not say what you just said. that is wishful thinking on your part. re-read what he ACTUALLY said. He basically blew smoke up Howard's *** before he beat him. He never said "I want to go to Orlando" LOL. He said he would want to play with Dwight. Name ONE Guard that wouldn't. and...yes...I KNOW......"You never know"... No...I KNOW he is not going to orlando. I repeat...don't be Jet fans.
I keep saying it...and said it last year when you lost to the lakers.... When you play with Rashard on the post...you are VERY hard to beat. it causes alot of matchup problems... when you hand it to Vince and say 'win it"...you become the New Jersey nets of 4 years ago.
I doubt Vince will get the opportunity to do that a whole lot, Orlando has so many weapons, it will probably be whoever has the hot-hand at the given time.
The Magic don't need Wade. They just need to win with what they got. Only 3 wins from a championship. This year it's getting done.
"I said from Day One that I wanted to be in Miami, that maybe I could get certain players to come to Miami, but at the same time, this is my only chance at free agency," Wade said. "There are a lot of possibilities out there. And nothing is impossible." That's wade's quote right there. He said he loves Miami, but he could leave. Anything is possible. And the place he could go to after leaving Miami could be Orlando. We're not being Jet fans. D Wade is the one who said it, not us.
Dude.....You just posted the quote. NOWHERE does he say what you just said. He CANNOT go to Orlando. EVEN if he wanted to. You guys made sure of that by trading for Vince. Salary Cap....remember that little obstacle? I think you are projecting through his comments. He did not say he wanted to go to orlando next year. LOL.
I know he didn't say that. What I'm trying to explain is he COULD come to Orlando because he wants to play with Dwight Howard. He wants to play with another big man, and Howard is the best in the business. And where does howard play? Orlando. Yes Salary Cap is a problem, but anything can happen. Like he said, anything is possible. I don't even know why we're arguing, though. I doubt this happens, as well.
That is the whole point. He CAN'T By salary cap rules. It is probably the least likely destination. The only way he can is to take around a 85 million dollar pay cut. 85 Million Dollars. pay cut. Riley is not stupid. even taking a trade of Orlando's garbage would kill the heat. So basically..you have to believe that Riley would do a trade where he loses Wade and loses all of his cap flexibility beyond any of the good Young FA's expiring. A magic fan has to believe that Riley would intentionally destroy the Miami Heat Franchise to help the Magic. an example: The Colts trading Peyton Manning to the Dolphins for Joey Porter, Tyler Thigpen, and Greg Camarillo. Now...Howard when expires...leaving Orlando....is a possibility if Orlando isn't contending.
yes...which would mean you couldn't even offer the minimum. and if you did free up the minimum and Wade took a 85 million dollar paycut...for a one year. His re-up the following year would count completely against he luxury tax and you would pay MORE than the Lakers..which would mean that the Magic would either have to move to New York or LA or just disband the franchise. (Luxury threshold goes twice over) Imagine a 60 million a year luxury tax. so yeah..."anything" is NOT possible. anyway...I like this Magic team...again...Play Rashard on the post and you are headed to the finals. I wish you guys all the best. hard to hate any of your guys...alot of classy guys.
Not a bad way to start the Magic road trip. Off to a great start @ 16-4. Next up is the Clippers on Tuesday night @ 10:30.
Hopefully the Magic come out firing tonight and finish strong like they did against GST the other day. 16-4 is awesome. On pace for 65.6 wins. That's elite!
This really could be the year.... This Magic team reminds me of the Heat Championship team... not in it's makeup..The teams are very different.....contrary to popular belief the Heat championship team was not a "defensive" team as some like to think.... it was built around rebounding and scoring, just like this orlando team. Then you add the fact that both teams have the SAME playbook and run high Pick and roll all game long...then you get the picture.
Pretty solid team effort in the game tonight, beating the Clippers 97-86. That's 8 road wins in a row, a new team record. Next up is the 12-8 Jazz @ Utah Thursday night. Btw, Happy 24th Birthday to Dwight Howard yesterday!
That loss kinda sucked. We had 'em in the first half, and Utah closed the gap at halftime and never looked back. Dwight fouled out WAY too early, and their guy Williams just kept making it happen. I guess you gotta lose some time, I hope we do better @ Phoenix Friday night. 17-5
Yeah, that Utah game sucked man, Orlando better tighten up that defense. IMO, they are getting way to lax on the defensive end, because they think with the weapons on offense they can out-score everyone.
Looks like Van Gundy is leaving the big bang for the 2nd half, playing Gortat over Howard, and not much from Carter either. Rashard, Redick and Anderson are hangin in there too. If we can hang in the game with no less than a 20 point difference, then it should be a great 2nd half.
