I did some searching and couldn't find a motorcycle thread. Maybe it's there and I'm a re-re. Anyhow. The Mor is getting back into motorcycles. Rode a little when I was stationed in Puerto Rico. Had a not-so-great experience which ended with road rash and a trashed Yamaha R6. Since then I've stayed away from bikes. Now I want one and I'm doing the safety class on July 1st. I'm looking at a few bikes. My faves in this order: 1. Suzuki GSX-R 600 2. Yamaha YZF R6 3. Kawasaki ZX6r 4. Yamaha YZF R1 (if I'm feeling ballsy) 5. Suzuki GSX-R 750 I want something pre-owned, but not dropped (obviously). Any bikers out there? Post pics!
Is that really your bike Pagan?? That's craziness! I love those choppers with the sick long forks. Lucky's bike kicks ***
Nah bro...not mine. What I'd want though, and may get one of these days. I live right next to the OCC factory, and drool on a once a week basis. Lucky's got a V-Rod? Schweeeeet.....
I like how the back shocks are. Fat back tire for a little bit better traction. Nice looking bike. My uncle is trying to do something like this to his softail:
I had a Honda CBR-600 F2 years ago, but they've upgraded it to the 600 RR. Pretty sweet bike, and has pretty big balls for a 600. But out of your 5 Mor, I'd to with the YZF R-6. Really fast bike, won the Daytona 200 this year.
I had both a Kawasaki 650 LTD and a Honda 600 Nighthawk. Both pretty good bikes, but I often found I needed mor power, especially if you have a passenger...and, I am not a real big guy ie. 5-10+, 185
rode through college a bit. I had a Vans and Hines edition Yamaha FZR 600. It was fast as heck, ended up like you though. Had a bad experience and then sold it, haven't ridden street bikes since. My dad just got a new Harley though so I've been kind of looking too. I would buy one of these if I was to start up again... I love the reverse brake calipers, the exhaust bends and it has a super low seat height which I need since I'm only 5'8
just passed a wrecked bike not twenty minutes ago on US 1, someone pulled in front of him, didn't see him, but everything else was still in place... he bled to much for casual injuries.. so damned dangerous in traffic.
Capn' America's bike.. I don't remember the pipes being gold tho leaks oil??? it's a '51 panhead whaddya expect
yeah we had a guy here at 6 in the morning was going to work on his bike. he got hit behind by a couple of frat boys in their car. So what do they do after they hit him? Take off and leave him to die, they were drunk of course. Pretty sad too, seemed like he was pretty popular.
yea, it's sad the lack of driver awareness.. we have a large percentage of elderly here and they just don't see a bike. That's a hot ish bike Lucky, I'd love to ride one of those some day.
yeah it hauls some butt. I just took it to austin over 600+ miles from here. Putt my *** to sleep but other then that it was worth it.
funny enough, I ended up getting a completely different bike. I got a Suzuki SV650. Not a race bike at all... But fun as all hell to ride. It's a 2000, and here she is:
EDIT: Just noticed you bought Mor. Congrats man!! Be safe. My favs in this order, Ducati 996. The Fogarty Replica is shown below. Tailored for the track, but street legal. Limited Edition. If not this one, a '98 Ducati 996!! I like the models with the triangular intakes on the head. Plus remember, this bike dominated the circuit for years. Second fav, is the Augusta MV4 D'Oro (Gold Edition in english). This is the most exotic looking bike, and if style alone was being considered, I'd have to go with this one. It is also great performing though. Here in Canada, they've yet to be approved by our Govm't for whatever reason. I think there isn't enough supply for them to do the tests or something.
Anybody have a safe way of dealing with morons riding your tail?? It's so annoying. It's not like a car where I can brake check him... Because if he isn't paying attention, I die. Yesterday I just looked back and gave the driver the dirtiest look I could muster....
the only way on a bike to prevent tailgaiting (that I found) is to drive faster or go so slow they pass you.
