I DVR'd the fight for troops...sounds good, looking forward to it. GodBless DVD concept, its recorded both TUFs back to back....so glad Junie got lit up and punked out. I remember after his first glass throwing tantum, folks said, the rumor was that he turned the corner and really represented well by the end of the show...so much for rumors. He started as a turd, and ended as one. Both titles look good. I think the Efrain and JuJitsu boy will each win their respective weights.
I missed last night's card as well as the WEC card last week. Tell ya what, Efrain looked really good against Junie. Much better than his first fight. Nover probably beats him though. Dana sees $$$ signs in front of him. That guy is a buzzsaw. Efrain looks like he might have a future though. Bader has been my favorite 205 since the beginning. But I think the Ju Jitsu guy will handle him pretty easily. Bader did great keeping away from Marshall on the ground. But this guy is the pinnacle. And Bader doesn't have any kind of offense on the ground.
Yeah, I know Nover is the favorite, but Efrain when he walks into the ring is a different guy, I think folks underestimate him for some reason. Nover is a great fighter too. Vinny will just have to much "freaky" stuff for Bader. I dont think I have seen another Ju Jitsu class guy like Vinny that for whatever reason, doesnt get wailed on, and is allowed to do his freaky moves. Crazy, his jumping up and flexibilty to get into the finals.

yikes... there weren't any compund fractures, but last night's Fight for the Troops that UFC put on had a couple brutal KO's. without revealing winners and losers for the DVR crowd; Koscheck's fight has a pretty amazing KO, and Ben Saunders from TUF (Forrest/Rampage) was in a brutal fight too. oh, and actually, now that i think about it, there was a guy who got his elbow popped in an arm bar because he refused to tap out. all in all, alot of bang for the buck on free tv last night. Good card last night. Bader has some serious power. That punch was partially blocked and it still did the job. Glad he won. And how about Efrain! He had the antidote. Exposed the hole in Nover's game. I really couldn't imagine HOW Efrain could lose, but figured Nover would just overwhelm him like everybody else. Efrain is really well rounded. He can do just about everything. As for the others, Junie and Eliot really looked strong. All the winners look like they've gotten a lot better since they left the house. And how about that kick from Anthony Johnson. BOOM!
Vinny totally failed to do what he does best...I give Bader credit for not allowing it, and having the power to end any chance of it happening. Efrain just becomes a different guy in the cage....Nover looked like the guy, but Efrain just beat him to every move. Junie is still a punk...Eliot was dominating. Agree, all looked awhole lot better since they ended the "real world" portion of the show.
Props to Efrain for beating a better fighter than him. He had a great game plan and stayed with it. Thats a well trained fighter.
Ya know, I don't know that Nover is a better fighter. Efrain is pretty strong in the areas Nover is, and he's a far superior wrestler. He turned out to be the more well-rounded guy. Plus he beat (submitted) better fighters than Nover faced on the show. It wasn't like a Matt Serra-GSP thing. He controlled what, 12/15 minutes of the fight? I'd have to say Efrain is better.
Every time I read about a fighter found dead, I automatically think suicide. This case looks again like a murder-suicide. Weird.
any predictions for tonite's big UFC show folks? i have been way off lately, got both TUF finale decisions wrong, though i was pulling for the guys that ended up winning. tonite i am going with Rashad Evans to beat Forrest by decision. based on his superior wrestling. Vanderlei over Rampage, but only because he needs it more if he wants his career to continue and to remain relevant and Minotauro over Mir. looks like a great card, though. i remember getting the Hughes GSP fight last year to take my mind off the loss of a friend right after Christmas last year and regretting the 50 bucks spent. but this card should be well worth it. based on my recent record in predicting UFC fights though, you might be able to make some scratch by betting the opposite of my predictions!

solid predictions, i could see that happening. mir nog will be a snooze fest unless you love grappling. some slow, sloppy stand up can be funny too though. and i'd love to reiterate luckys post...if someone finds a stream...thats be schweet. honestly tho, as much as i like mma, im all about tomorrow at 4:15. its all im thinking about.

Def should of stopped it sooner. The guy was defending himself for a little while but it def went too long at the end there after his hands went down.
