Did any of you guys catch Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell playing in the World Series of Poker broadcast from Tuesday night? OMG Chuck has to be the worst player of all time. The guy was sitting next to Phill Helmuth, and I don't know who woulda kicked who's *** if a fight broke out there. Chuck acted like a friggin 1st grader who never played cards before. The Iceman was hardly a scary dude at that table, although he doesn't know when to fold!!! As expected the card on last nights fight night was dominated by UF winners, or runner ups, and it wasnt a bad show. Alexander looks the same as he did when he first started fighting, he has absolutely no skill on the ground, he either isnt training very well, or needs to find a new camp. The Hermann, Belcher fight was a good fight, I dont feel like Ed gave it his all, he just kind of looked like he was going through the motions, I could be wrong, just my take. Mac must not have seen Clay Guida fight before because he just seemed outmatched and outclassed from start to finish. Kudos to Danzig for sticking to his guns and not quitting, the one straight kick he landed on Clay's head was brutal, but what was even more amazing was Clay landing a counter off of it! Main event was a good match. Neer gave Diaz all he could handle. I love watching Diaz fight. He is always working always looking for an opening. UFC 88 I think? will be free on Spike Oct. 18 at 9 From England. Good thing its free, the main event is Bisping/Leban. Good draw for England. The UF premiere was good so far. Doesnt seem like the 2 coaches will have as much friction as past coaches have. Guida's brother was a joke. I'm glad he didnt make it. I hated his attitude. The guy that fainted is very, very talented. Him and Junie Browning looked real good.
Junie Browning tore that guy up. He looks very advanced. All you kept hearing from Frank Mir was "Nice!" and "you know what you're doing." He's super cocky and all, but the dude he whooped....i.e. made QUIT....was just as arrogant. "I belong with Alexander and Moussalini and Hitler". That said, I too noticed that Browning looked pretty spent at the end of that second round.
I'd like to send out a big "Told You So" to all the people who told me that Danzig would be able to beat Guida. Told ya Clay would have no prob.

Franklin-Henderson should be good. I like Rich at 205. Silva already has two KO's over Rampage in PRIDE. The second one is legendary. But that was 4-5 years ago. We'll see what happens this time. Shamrock supposedly got hit with a headbutt earlier today working out and had to pull out of the fight with a gash above his eye, so they filled the spot last minute with this kid.
The announcers are making excuses for their cash cow and saying this is the biggest upset in MMA history. "He shocked the world!" What a joke.
nah Seth Petruzelli is a "real" fighter. way out of kimbos league. good experience, very seasoned and versatile. i didnt know shamrock wasnt in the fight. bad move by kimbos camp taking on my namesake on short notice.
I think shamrock was hurt prior to tonight but they(cbs and elite xc) kept it a secret so they could keep viewers. Unless he was attacked by Tripple H with a trash can back stage.
Maybe, but its so much better this way. A kid that 99% of the people watching have never heard of takes the fight last minute and knocks him out in 10 seconds. I love it!
Kinda ironic is it? Kimbo's fights or brawls end quite quick for that to happen to him is quite funny. His rep is done I hope they don't hype him up anymore. I think Shamrock would have got him to submit, no doubt Kimbo is the better striker but Shams experience would bail him out.
kens a completely different fighter that he was 5-10-15 years ago. his coordination, balance, speed, stamina, and power are all completely inadequate for todays fight game. he struggles against middleweights, let alone a heavyweights. kimbo would've had a decent shot at beating him, with the training, and game-planning he probably had if he's still under Bas.

yeah that announcing is straight garbage. no outcome of any kimbo fight is anything shocking or significant in mma.
