The one game thread I posted in preseason..we won. We need a win today, so why not give it a go. Today your Miami Dolphins head to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears at 1 PM on CBS. Brandon Marshall will be facing us for the first time since leaving. Brent Grimes and Cortland Finnegan will have their hands full all day. Our defensive line could really make their lives easier by pressuring Cutler on a consistent basis. Offensively we need to control the ball with our ground game and have a solid 4 quarters of play from Ryan Tannehill. Let's get this done!
Yeah, 3-3 is so much better. I give us a solid shot, we seem to play well on the road. Didn't see Tripp's name on the injury report so hoping we see some of him today.
I'd say Philbin, Coyle and Lazor learned some hard lessons last week. At least, they should have. Coyle and Lazor at least admitted as much, Philbin blamed the players as usual (he should watch Rex Ryan post-game video to see what leading looks like). I believe we'll see better scheming in this game by a notable margin. Lazor will get RT some easy, comfortable stuff early to get him settled in a positive flow. Coyle won't put Wheeler on an island, etc. Really watching for McCain and Jelani today...it has been a joy watching JJ play...kid's future is bright. Also want to see more of Damien and Clay. Come on LBs/secondary...I want to see Cutler and receivers arguing on the sidelines today!!!
Love to get a win here. Have had a really ****ty month or two here at home. Just picked my dog up this morning from having surgery yesterday to remove part of a corn cob from her intestines. She's out cold on the floor and drugged up big time. A win today would at least make me feel a bit better about things. Go Phins! Finnegan and Grimes have their work cut out for them today.
Oh...and special teams...this may be the biggest impact that can had...they gotta do better on punting/covering punts. Field position battle is massive.
For sure important win today...huge difference from 3-3 to 2-4. Cutler can be erratic. Let's hope we rattle him! Im in MI & it's blacked out here cuz of Lions. Anyone have a stream or link or gen advice on how to watch today w/o heading out? GO FINZ!!!!
Looks like the line is stuck somewhere between +3.0 (+100) and +3.5 (-115). Chris Conte and Lance Briggs being out could work in our favor especially since they are sounding desperate to get Charles Clay more involved. On the other side, the Dolphins don't have great options for Nickel DB...and the Bears like to move Brandon Marshall around the lineup. That could factor.
Juice gets the start. I was a fan of what Brandon Gibson did last season, but he's looked slow and pointless in this offense, and the drops haven't helped.
Dolphins are gonna have to come out with serious intensity because the Bears are under pressure to win at home..
Chris Perkins @chrisperk · now16 seconds ago Tannehill in middle of circle of players giving speech to fire em up. Probably happened b4 but not sure I've seen it.
What? Philbin spent his entire day after press conference blaming himself and saying it starts with him.
Interesting that Gibson is inactive even though he's healthy, was listed as probably in Friday.. The juice making some noise.. Read option, juice, qb draw, over the top to Wallace.
