Yes! I wanted to start this thread before 20 other people did. 1st person on a 500 pg thread for sure!!! Haha, I'm in a giddy mood and I don't know why? Maybe it's the playing hookie from work today. I don't know. But seriously, Go Herd!
It's nice that a lot of Marshall fans have become Dolphins fans with the acquisition of Pennington. I'm telling everyone though, with Lindsey getting injured for ECU, watch out for Marshall to take the C-USA. They're young, fast, and very hungry.
That is a ridiculous statement... Tulsa will have the most dominate team in CUSA... As a UCF fan, I have no doubt the road to championship runs through Tulsa this year. UCF will be good, but they're definitely taking a step back. ECU and Southern Miss are always forces in the conference...especially at home. I just think Marshall is another year away from breaking open again... Don't get me wrong, I hope Marshall does well every year. I've had some great experiences with fans from Marshall, class acts, every single one of them.. it's a shame you gotta deal with WVU nonsense.
Thanks man. I went to the game last year....fugly. However, that Stadium experience was great. So much better than the Citrus Bowl. That's really going to help that program go. Tulsa is good. Tulsa is the favorite. However, as we've seen with the C-USA. There is always that jump start team. Next year Marshall should be very good. For the first time in a long time, we have an actual solid two deep. They're saying this team is as talented as the 99 team that finished #10 in the country and undefeated with......Chad Pennington at the helm. I don't buy that. However, it's clearly the most talent we've had for quite some time. Only problem is that they're very young.
BTW UCF's secondary is LEGIT. One of the best in the country. Luckily our strength will be the run game.
Good win for Marshall in Game 1. We haven't started off 1-0 in 3 years. Now we have to go to Camp Randall and compete with Wisconsin. If we can limit turnovers and have the same type of gameplan--great defensive effort, strong running game, and big plays in the passing game--we have a shot. We have to play perfect and Wisconsin has to give us some help too.
Gotta bump this thread up.... Marshall has gotten off to a surprising start 3-2 (2-0). If we can somehow beat the Bearcats at home, that would be huge for our program.
Did NOT look good tonight. My patience is running very thin with Marc Cann, a RS Freshman QB, and Mark Snyder.
Alen, I think Darius can be a good player. He reminds me a little of Ahmad Bradshaw. He doesn't have the break away speed. You can see it on his Kick Returns. He takes too many negative plays, also. That's why Chubb Small is getting more carries. Darius Marshall is a good runner and he'll get better. I was hoping you guys would have taken down ECU and given us a game, but we still hold our destiny in our hands. We need to somehow beat ECU this weekend...doesn't look good.
