Its a shame Saigons career has fallen off so much before he could even get started. He had so much buzz and then didnt release his album. dumb.

He went from saying he wasnt about rap beef and making diss records(and proving it with going upside prodigys head for saying speaking his name) to dissing some never was in Buddens. and his diss wasnt even impressive..

smh...btw, Buddens better watch out, Saigon is a true goon. hes already showed he will seek a rapper out and go upside their head(albeit running afterward, but i woulda ran to out numbered by 50)

lmao. DMX is awesome, at the same time sad....btw, he was talking about ja rule with all that chicago stuff. supposibly X was with some people that said they would take ja rules life right at the air port if X wanted them to, and X said no, let him live.

Em isnt saving anything. no one should be even checking for him. hes an embarrassment at this point.

no one is going to save Rap at this point. just better start looking more underground........no real good rap is going to sell good anymore. that joke of a album carter III sold how much?!? and is up for grammys? pathetic...

what a good way to start a thread about hip hop. bashing the place that has carried rap music for years now and mentioning one of the most over rated rappers out of the south...3 stacks. yes i said it.

and Lil Wayne is terrible now and i guess hes overrated if you can find anybody that truely listens to rap and says hes good, but if you didnt know, before the carter II, he was one of the most underrated rappers in he game. and you can make a case for him being one of the goats with argueably a few classics under his belt, countless great features, group albums(hot boyz), etc. i wouldnt put him in my top 10, but he was definitely a good rapper for a loooooooong period of time before the carter III and his trash features and such that went a long with it..

i think the drugs just got a hold of him.

The beef is off....Joey says its because Saigon begged him to stop the dissing in a phone conversation. Saigon said its because Joey knew it would go beyond the mic, and Joey didnt want that. I tend to believe Saigons story just because when Joey was told Saigon said that, Joey said something like, whatever its over, ill stick to my story and he'll stick to his.

now if he was begging you to stop is the truth, and then came out and said he never begged for you to stop and that you were scared, i would think you wouldnt like that to much and you would keep going. either way it looks over.

also, both MCs said they want to set up a boxing match between the two in which the profits go to charity. although i would LOOOOOVE to see this, and it would be good to get money to charity. it will never happen...

Dr. Dre's producing the whole thing so he might be able to save it.

I think 50's album will be at least decent.

I'm completely clueless why people like Ross so much and why producers waste such amazing beats on him.

I like what 50's been putting out as far as mixtapes, hopefully that's the kind of stuff we get on the album.

looking at your location im guessing you hate all southern music outside of some underground artists and maybe andre, on the other hand, everything out of NY is hot right?

im completely clueless how people could truly believe in their heads that 50 Cent is even close to Rick Ross right now.

Rickys flow, delivery, and sound is 2nd to none right now IMO.

Swing and a miss on that one. Not that I really consider FL Southern rap anyways. I'm bumpin Bun-B (I'd take him over 3k) as we speak. Not that I care for most Southern rap.

50 has 3 hot albums IMO : GRODT, The Massacre, and that 1st Gunit album. You could prob throw the GRODT soundtrack up there too. And he def puts out quality mixtapes.

Ross has the best beats on his albums and puts out the 3-4 hot song and filler albums. His lyrics are usually pretty bad. Once in awhile he'll put out an all around tight record but not usually. Take away the beats and he's another nobody IMO.

People who are hoping Eminem puts out a good album may feel a little better now.

I read an interview with Royce 5"9 and he said he was mad with Eminem for choosing "We Made You" as a single bc the rest of the album is nothing like it. For what it's worth, he said this new album is "Eminem's Black Album".

    I'd take that.

lol, doesnt sound like i totally swung and miss really when you say that you dont care for most southern rap...

and obviously you have listened to to much FL rap if you dont consider that southern rap....anyways, im not sure how you can say Ross's lyrics are usually pretty bad, but its all a difference in opinion and taste so whatever.

to me 50 has put out 1 great album him self, the first G-Unit album was good, after that his albums have been average to below average. while Ross has put out 2 good albums so far IMO....

as for the whole this being Slims black album, ill take that for a grain of salt. everyone says things like this trying to get people to buy albums. 50 said the Massacre was better then GRODT, then he said on Curtis he was going back to GRODT...which both were complete bull****.

When I think of FL I think of Trick Daddy and Ross. And whoever else DJ camel has on his remixes that day. Just not a fan. That style sounds nothing like most southern music (Ludacris, UGK, Scarface), so that's why I don't really consider it the south.

I liked The Massacre almost as much as GRODT. Curtis was absolutely awful.

Ross really just raps about coke, boats, mansions, girls and cars. I know a lot of people do that, but to me he really shows no versatility or creativity what so ever. He really sounds exactly the same in every song to me. Port of Miami had 3-4 really good songs and the rest were trash IMO. Same thing with his other album (cant think of the name). The CO thing is just beyond ridiculous and he should of just admitted the first time. I know everyone in hiphop embellishes but come on.

Like I said before, Slim's album (except for 2 songs I believe) is completely produced by Dre. I really don't think he can mess that up.

    ???

Luda sounds nothing like UGK or Scarface. your talking about two legends from Texas who have their own sound completely. All of Texas sounds the same pretty much. again, you havent listened to much florida music or south music in general if you dont think FL music is southern. FL music scene is very similar to ATL, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Virginia. Every place has a different sound, i usually can tell where their from by their sound, but its still similar.

Em can mess up every beat by just being his annoying self. doesnt matter what beat he is on. hes already turned the one Dre beat in pop a bottle into annoying trash.

How can you like the Massacre almost as much as GRODT? it had 4-5 good songs on it, the rest were absolute trash.

btw, its not worth arguing about how good albums were really, because every likes their own thing. i like more grimey "coke" rap, while you like something different. its amazing peoples differences in taste in music depending on where they grew up. when i was like 12 i went with a friend to Connecticut to visit some of his family. was like a whole nother world in style from, speaking, to clothes, to music. insane. im glad its different though. keeps the music game different.

I'm not saying UGK and Ludacris sound the same. Obviously they don't. I'm just saying that's what I think of when I think of the South, music similiar to theirs.

I thought The Massacre was really underrated. There's about 4-5 songs I don't like, but the other 17-18 make up for it. He used no name producers on most of it so I think that's why people didn't like it. Everyone expected another GRODT with all Dre beats.

I just get tired of people like Ross. Like I said, he always sounds the same. I don't mind "grimey" coke rap, but there needs to be something else with it or at least some more creativity.
