Him feeling safe isn't good but him GMing like he is safe is good.

I still feel like he is going to retire or move into an advisory role

PS. Miami’s three picks = a half ton of beef. Finally paying attention to the trenches.

Lol ima just say it, Dillon Gabriel’s mold is a lot more fit with todays NFL than Shedeur.

Dillon Gabriel has a much faster release, has a faster ball, can throw a dart, he is a mobile/dual threat.

i hope Hard Knocks is in cleveland because i want to see that quarterback competition.

Sanders is going to be 4th string on the worst franchise in the league. Daddy can't be happy. Still haven't seen his reaction in the custom draft room.

Something has to give. The Browns can’t go to camp with 5 qbs on the roster. On second thought, it’s the Browns, so….

Grier is a ****ing idiot. This is a very deep draft with lots of talent to be had in the later rounds, and he's just giving away picks unnecessarily.

True, I just heard the drop off after 70 is severe but the good teams find players in this region nevertheless.

Edit: like the Jordan Phillips pick.

Quinn Ewers looked like he was part of a hostage video... but I get that you'd rather be undrafted and select from team offers than get drafted so late and not have any choice.

Ok..Super stoked about the Ewers pick. He's definitely making the team and he's going to be a nice backup in this league. Maybe we can develop him. He was on my personal list of guys I wanted us to take. Not that I don't believe in Tua, but I really like this pick.

I kind of thought it might have been a bit out of context. Like he was disappointed it took so long but much of it was the emotion of being drafted.

This is exactly where he was two months ago. Schools were offering him millions to transfer. IMO, it's a good use for a 7th round pick. Much better than the one we used to select Skyler and I think he'll be better than Wilson by week 8 if he gets 2nd team reps in practice. My only level of concern is that he didn't take a step forward under Sark, who is probably as good a QB whistler as McDaniel.

With that being said, McDaniel saw something he could unlock in Tua, so it's entirely possible he sees something similar in Ewers. I just hope we can build an OL that can keep a clean pocket, because he's not going to get rid of the ball in <2 seconds like #1 does.

Yeah, I like the Jordan Phillips pick also, just think we could.have done a lot more with this draft by not trading away our 3rd and 4th round picks.

We're probably carrying three QBs on the game day roster to keep him from being plucked from the PS. Hopefully, he uses the chip on his shoulder to propel him into earnest competition to lead the team.

    This is nuts, IMO:

Zeek Biggers is a DT prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.80 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 37 out of 1812 DT from 1987 to 2025.

How much money did Quinn Ewers lose by not returning for NIL in college football, sliding in 2025 NFL Draft?

Had Ewers returned to college football, his payout would have been much more lucrative
    By Richard Johnson
After a long wait, Quinn Ewers was drafted at pick No. 231 by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. It was clear that with heir apparent Arch Manning waiting in the wings, he'd have to play somewhere else in 2025. Ewers entered this draft class with concerns over his arm strength and some worries about a nagging injury that hampered him in the 2024 season for Texas.

Throughout the NIL era, there's an interesting theme running through Day 3 of every NFL Draft, and that's whether a player could have earned more by staying in school. There are myriad reasons why a player goes to the draft beyond money, but it is something to factor into any player's decision. Some players who are borderline draftable opt to return to school to at least get something, but the calculus is a little different for quarterbacks.

The estimated slot value of pick No. 231 in the draft is around $4.3 million over four years. But, as a starting quarterback with SEC experience, had he gone into the transfer portal, Ewers could have fetched easily over $3 million, and maybe even as much as $4 million with the right suitors in the mix considering Carson Beck's deal. Ewers could have gotten in the mix at Miami, Notre Dame or many other bluebloods in search of a signal-caller last winter had he entered the portal.

The fact is that it was never really in question as to whether Ewers would actually turn pro at the end of this season. And the fact that he has turned pro starts his clock to getting a lucrative second contract if Ewers is able to prove he belongs in the league.

I know a bunch of Dolfans are unhappy with this draft, but I'm not with them. I have a feeling Gordon, Ewers, and Biggers can make the team and all of them make the 48 at some point in the season. Gordon, might be a difference maker in year one. He's just what the RB room needs.

This has been a solid draft. Some people are just miserable. I love how some of you think Ewers was upset about coming to Miami. I mean tears of joy, cheering, clapping, and embracing are usually tell tale signs of the elusive happiness that we all seek in this life. I get it tho...Most Dolphin fans are miserable Boomers who only know Dan Marino.

I agree. I think the Browns realize the importance of finding that elusive franchise quarterback and doing exactly what they should be doing to get one. It'll be an open competition between Pickett, Flacco, Gabriel, and Sanders. I think Sanders is the most talented of the four. Not the day one starter, but he's going to get his shot. I get that Cleveland is a mess right now, but it's a perfect landing spot for any QB looking for an opportunity.

And honestly, if Sanders plays to the level I think he will, he'd go down as one of the biggest steals in history. Plus, I think if they did a 30 for 30 episode on him in that scenario... NFL would be looking (even more) suspect.

Flacco is the bridge and he will start the season. Sanders needs to keep his nose to the grindstone and get on Stefanski's good side from day one. There's a certain amount of protection that a first round pick is afforded and he doesn't have it. His best option is to stay small and feed his teammates in practice. If he's the best QB on the practice field, they'll be in the coach's ear because they want the best guy under center on Sunday.

Just so everyone who doesnt watch college football is aware… Quinn Ewers was on most people draft boards as the first pick overall preseason and prior to his injury. Then Arch Manning took a start due to his injury.. then Quinn returned but didnt look the same..

he has had a great college career.

im not saying he is a franchise quarterback but he is definitely seasoned enough to be a backup quarterback that can develop into something. We will see but i like the pick and i like our options behind Tua this upcoming season than any of the seasons prior.. weve have had some weak backups.

I don't really follow college football so I had no idea who he was. Ewers actually shared the cover for EAs NCAA 25 this past year.

He is a legitimate qb prospect, and honestly shocked he fell so far down.

I thought he would be at the lowest a second round pick..

hes got the stuff to be in the league for a long time even if its as a reliable backup qb. Its up to him to see if he can make more of his career.

i think the fact that Arch was behind him hurt his stock because everyone kept talking “yea but what if Arch was out there instead of Quinn”…

Able to stay comfortable deep in the pocket, throws in tight windows, those tight fades to the outside on difficult angles..

hes a legitimate talent with a lot of experience

He’s gotta’ be tough with a name like that.

Quinn ewers is getting a lot of media coverage today.. for a 7th round pick..

Everyone keeps talking about Shedeurs fall because of his last name.. Quinn has actually played in two college football playoffs and has always had strong numbers, he was a very good college quarterback. His fall compared to what he was projected prior to his oblique injury, is a shock to me as well..

And some of it has to do because his backup is Arch Manning snd everyone kept saying yea but what if Arch started instead of giving quinn his moment.
