Not true. His highest compliment is "...he's a football player."
yup, that's true..i didn't mean anything in a bad sense when I mentioned that, just that it seems part of his coaching strategy to not shower his players too much with superlatives....kevin coyle is the opposite.
This game scares me! Why?
1. We don't tackle well, Big Ben does not go down easy, when he keeps the play alive he makes big plays.
2. Although we have done much better this year, we struggle against TE's, Heath Miller is a beast.
3. Steelers may not be ranked high in rushing, but watching the last 5 games they have been much better, Bell has run hard and is playing.
This will not be an easy game. We have to throw to win.
Just hope they quiet the crowd, get out to a comfortable lead and force some turnovers...
What interests me about this game is I believe we are more physically talented then the Stealers and are beginning to put it all together.
On the road in Pitt, with snow, will be a challenge, BUT the emergence of OVernon alongside Wake, and our DT's vs a weakened offensive line clearly favors us.
Real question is, will our relative inexperience come back to haunt us?
Penalties, turnovers, key drops, those are the things that we have to not let happen to win.
Sturgis misses a FG and we lose by that, his butt should be left in in Pittsburgh..period
He is another guy, that by rights, should have been replaced, that falls on Philbin
I have Steeler fans over every week, we watch the Fins and tape then watch the Steeler game. They have a ton of talent, what has killed them is the OLine (which has gotten better much like ours) also the secondary has been bad, Willie Gay can't cover a bed with a sheet, Ike Taylor has been not great, but makes plays, but has hands of stone and can't catch the ball. Troy has been bad on pass plays but strong on runs.
Its going to be a rough game, we need to throw.
Meaningful football in December is fun isn't it fellas?
not sure if already posted but the referee for our game will be John Parry
Three times Alex, geez, get with the program..
At least it's not Gene Steratore we deserve every call
sorry i took a nap to get ready for the lakers game since its 4 a.m on tip off over here

Kobe ain't playing til sunday, you must really love the lakers
I didn't see it, so lighten up on the lad.
I think it was John Parry who was the lead official for that Saints debacle in 2009, when we had several poor calls go against us. Such as Ginn stripping Sharper well before he crossed the goal line, only to get it called a TD and not overturned on replay. He was not however the official who called it a TD. That was Line Judge Ron ******* Marinucci, who even after being so old and blind, still has a job in the league 4 yrs later.
Here is his current crew, complete with hometown and years of experience:
R 132 John Parry, Tallmadge, Ohio, 14
U 64 Dan Ferrell, Franklin, Tenn., 11
HL 74 Derick Bowers, Ada, Okla., 11
LJ 29 Adrian Hill, Bowie, Md., 4
FJ 3 Scott Edwards, Blanco, Texas, 15
SJ 7 Joe Larrew, Bridgeton, Mo., 12
BJ 46 Perry Paganelli, Caledonia, Mich., 16
Velasco is out, so they'll be on their 3rd center, and DeCastro is playing with a bad foot, so hopefully that helps our DTs.
i also saw a stat (not current, it was through week 8) that Parry has the highest penalty per play percentage of all refs in the nfl
all these years you still can't tell when I'm jokin?
Beachum their starting left tackle is doubtful
Tallmadge is about 90 mins from Pittsburgh. Let's hope Parry grew up a Browns fan and not a Steeler fan.
lol. I've never seen so many people obsessed with who the referee is before a game.
Ah the joys of being a dolphin fan
You can't tell that I was too? Kids these days. Sheesh.
To supply this information indicates an obsession?
I knew you were kinda jokin but was just checkin if you were alive..
Just curious, and apropos of little, but would you mind telling me your age? If you don't mind.
also, he wants your gender and location.
If you went into a store, and an employee there forcibly held you down and kicked you in the dick, took your wallet and keys then went to your house and took a giant dump in your bed.....wouldn't you want to know if that employee was working before you stepped foot in the store again?
I hope the designed rollouts include rolling left as well as right. Tannehill is really good at this, but it only seems to happen when he's scrambling, not by design. The designed rollouts always seem to be to the right, and are often recognized by the defense.
since back into the magic and kareem days
lol predicting a win here and a loss at the pittsburgh board....just to make everybody happy i guess
Looks like it could be a snow game.
C`mon dj , don't do that man, no jinxsies.
Just wanted to point out to Deej that this thread prolly can't be the "official" gameday thread
It's almost 250 replies long now, that is a lot to wade through on a gameday thread no?
Their OL has gotten weaker, seems like only Worilds is hot for them on D, if the weather is not to much of a factor I've got a good feeling about this one
If it is blowing snow and wind chills in the low teens..oh boy
He wants my gender and location? He already knows.
I had a dream last night that we lost 5-2. Ryan's first and last throws were interceptions. It was not a good dream.
agreed we need a new one for the game....looks like pittsburgh is now "only" missing their LT and their C the rest of the banged up guys are probable
no worries, i already dreamed a win twice this week, 21-10 and 28-10, both headline on newspapers, so i don't know how it happened, but who would give a damn anyways
Flashback to the 07 game..ah the joys of Dolphins Fandom
Interestingly, this game will either expose or vindicate the Parcellian v Philbin approach
Parcells was adamant that the team HAD to be built for cold weather road games late in the season, large players, strong running game etc
Philbin is a 60% pass guy, which is fine in Sunny Miami, 2 huge road games to close out the year, Stealers and Bills, both figure to be played in cold weather with snow a possibility
Maybe the wind blowing behind him will help Tannehill's deep pass.
