"Noticed"? lol. You didn't notice ****. You might be on the R&R Express ignorant train, but that's about it.

Generally speaking, if 2 idiots believe the same thing, it doesn't make it true; it only makes it 2 idiots believing the same thing.

The ghost of Jim Caldwell possessed Bret Bielema to call that horrible timeout on the last drive.

Crazy *** play though. A big FU to opponents of instant replay as well.

You ain't convincing me, that's for sure. Everytime the word luck is mentioned, it's the same thing. I'm no rocket scientist, but I can put 2 and 2 together.

Throwing out insults now? Cool story. Perhaps you should expend that energy on more worthwhile causes, like admitting Henne blows, Luck isn't staying in school, and that Luck gives 2 ****s about "Suck4Luck" campaigns. I'm sure it would make everyone happier in the end than to watch you frantically hoping and praying Luck stays in school or demands a trade in order to spite us real fans tired of watching this team blow every year because of Chad Henne and the other losers we've had at QB since Marino retired. No hard feelings though, message board insults don't phase me.

This organization has done a good enough job of ****ing up their image all by themselves. Nothing the fans do, including wanting Luck (which is really what this is about) is gonna change that.

I still don't understand the problem with Suck For Luck. If its the name you don't like, we can always change it to "Let's root for our team to win even though they're not very good, and will probably lose anyway, but just in case let's want them to win meaningless games so if they lose we can look respectable as fans (and draft Andrew Luck.)"

Though I don't think that's quite as catchy.

I know I shouldn't bother, but if you're a number one pick (as Luck is projected this season and next I assume) then the team picking you is going be 0-16, 1-15 or something pretty close. There will either be a new HC (you don't know who our next HC is) or you have a HC who finished with the worst record. Every fan base with the worst team in the NFL isn't going be as strong as winning teams, etc. The team that picks Luck, barring a huge trade, will suck and have problems. Period. When we get our new HC and GM then we can have better discussions about the shape of our franchise.

As far as doubling up, not a fan DJ unless you mean like a 5th rounder or lower developmental guy. We have more needs than just QB and going need to use that high 2nd and high 3rd pick wisely to strengthen the team. If you're picking a QB top 5 then you have conviction he is your franchise QB, have to live and die by that decision. If you're unsure to the point of where you need an insurance plan, then think you have to pick another position or trade down. I feel ya on needing to shore up this position once and for all though.

Yeah pretty much I mean if we don't get Luck, I will take one of the others early, and then draft a hi upside raw prospect later, however, a Weeden/Russell Wilson combo is quite intriguing.

Hell of a time for me to post an extensive endorsement on Landry Jones, huh?

Well despite the fact Oklahoma's defense can't stop the Red Raiders and putting Jones in a tough spot, Jones is still having a good performance

    Thus far, 27/51, 346yds, 4TD/1int, QB Rating: 131.9

Oh snap and just like that when he was called upon, Jones just threw his 5th touchdown of the game.

Have to sit down and actually compare it, but Jones 2nd half performance is out of this world, scoring 21 4th quarter points.

    Clutch performer!

As someone watching the game, I can say that Jones hasn't been nearly as impressive as the stat sheet indicates. He left a lot of plays on the field with errant throws. Still the 3rd best QB prospect in this draft. Nowhere near close to Luck, and I like Barkley much better as well.

I didn't get to see the game, so I can't really comment what plays were left on the field. You're in a much better postion to offer analysis than I am. What I do know though from my days stationed at Fort Sill, OK is the rivalry between the Sooners and the Red Raiders is about a fierce of rivalry as there is in the NCAA, up there with Ohio State v Michigan and Florida v Georgia.

I expected a tough game for Jones.

What I'm going to do (hopefully) is sit down and do a comparrison of Jones between the 1st and 2nd halves of the game, by possession. At least at first glance, it SEEMS Oklahoma made adjustments that gave Jones the opportunity to come back and win the game.

I mean think about it, you're down 31-7 when you get your first touch of the ball in the 2nd half, it's not a big secret you're gonna be throwing the ball....and Jones did and, at first glance mind you, seems he was pretty damned effective against a defense that was playing to defend the pass.

Either way, this loss by the team shouldn't be a knock against Jones. Im sure Stanford will lose a game this year...and I doubt that's going to effect Luck's draft status in the NFL.

How can you call out Lucks oppenents and point to his stats as unimpressive and then turn around and look at Jones stat sheet against a Texas Tech team in awe. A stat sheet that doesn't paint the whole picture anyways.

A bit late here, I'm someone who likes both Jones and Luck... but there is something that worries me a bit about Jones. Does it seem like he locks onto/stares down receivers? I got that feeling...but I haven't watched enough. You can get away with that in college, but that is dangerous as we all know in the NFL. Henne did/does it and it is his biggest drawback and it hurt us. Time and time again we've heard CBs say "I could tell where they were throwing it" after games. That worries me. It also seems like something that is a tough thing to break.

The only thing about Luck is the "Easier competition." But, plenty of Franchise QBs have come from schools like Stanford, and plenty of busts have come from big conferences like the SEC, so that doesn't worry me too much.

Might just be me being paranoid. Forgive me, I've watched 16 mediocre-to-bad QBs the majority of my fanhood...I'm paranoid when it comes to potential Dolphins QBs.

The PAC-10 does have some decent passing defenses. You have nothing to worry about with Luck.

With Landry I kind of noticed that too, but I see him reading the defense and selecting the receiver he is going to hit before the play, based on coverage and then throwing it to the wr he thinks will be open. This works because of Oklahomas style of offense they run at times when it's a quick throw, but it also works because of his arm. It will be something he will have to learn not to do in the pros, but you can see him going through his progressions when the first wr he looks at is covered so it's not a huge concern in my eyes.

He's played great he had 1 bad throw but I'm not a fan of stanfords coach 3 and 9 in the red zone and they call a run with luck on the sideline they should of won this game easy if they let him throw more.

In all honestly though, the fact that next year we will either have Andrew Luck, Landry Jones, Matt Barkley, or even Weeden is so exciting. These QBs are all really, really talented and this QB draft will be remembered for a long time in my opinion. These QBs are going to be the future of the NFL.

I mean all these guys are good and actually deserve where they are going to get drafted. Its going to be laughable that the year before Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder all went 8, 10, and 12 respectively. These guys coming out this year are just in a completely different talent level compared to last year.
