I already said, I'm phone posting so its difficult. I'm sure if I was at my computer or ipad I could easily search and find the event I'm talking about. You're acting as if its fabricated. I saw it on ESPN as did millions of other people. Since thats the case I'm sure news articles were also written.

“Hey y’all enough please said it before & again now I Love @OzzieGuillen and have all the respect in the world for him and his family” From Jake Peavy.

"Ozzie and I have a great relationship, we give back and forth. He’s been great for me, been special for me. I love Ozzie to death, love his family to death and I have nothing but all the respect in the world for him and hopefully we’ll be here together for a long time." From A.J Pierzynski.

And again, Pierzysnki and Konerko still talk with Ozzie. Buehrle followed him here. Zambrano loves playing for Guillen. This stuff is well documented.

So what about the stuff I'm posting? The quotes stating that they love Ozzie? That players still talk to him?

No it's not. He's literally has only had a handful of bad starts after 3+ years of being in the conversation of best pitcher in baseball.

The roof stays open all the time. In fact, the only time it's not open is during games. It's only a matter of time before MLB says the grass situation is unacceptable and makes them install artificial turf.

Right. But that's basically why I wouldn't mind moving him. He's not young anymore and has an extensive injury history.

Speaking of not young anymore, why the heck does everyone keep calling Miami a young team? We're old as hell.

There have been quotes stating that his value is down now by scouts in baseball.

It isn't BS. The teams have scouts for a reason. His numbers overall look bad, the scouts are not impressed with how he's looked compared to his original form, and he's injury prone. There is no question his value is down.

I was going to say we are but we're the 7th oldest team in the league according to ESPN.

I could swear at the beginning of the season we were in the top ten for the youngest teams.

It is BS. They're just "seeing" what his overall numbers supposedly reflect (which are skewed from several awful starts) His velocity has dropped a tick, sure, but that's completely normal.

Before July, his overall line was a 3.30 ERA and 80K's in 87 innings. He had a stretch of 10 starts from early May to late June with a sub-2 ERA. He's actually generating his second highest swing and miss rate of his career.

He's still JJ. Just a little less lucky this year. Anyone pretending he's lost something is dishonest, stupid, and/or lacks perspective.

That's your take on the it but I'm sure the teams will listen to their scouts on the matter.

The teams won't just ignore his overall line, either. You can't have a 1.43 WHIP and not expect you're value to be lower. On top of that, his injury history will come into play. That will lower his value, too.

Dumb front offices like ours will definitely shy away. More intelligent front offices will see that he's fine. They'll see he's getting BABIP'd to death, not giving up extra XBHs, making guys swing and miss at a rate better than last year and know he's fine.

The only difference between is his WHIP this year and his career WHIP is his BABIP against is way higher, ergo he's been unlucky.

Not all Front Offices use saber metrics.

I'm not arguing whether it should or shouldn't. I think JJ is back. I don't think his value should be this low. I'm arguing whether it is in the eyes of some FO's in baseball. It most definitely is, IMO. They'll see his overall numbers, his injury history and the dip in velocity. You compare what we could have gotten for him a year ago, before he got injured, to now, there is no way we get as much in return.

I'm not saying he's at peak value, but he's not bottomed out either.

Maybe not. It shouldn't be. His trade value could definitely be higher, though. If we want to trade him it would be best to let him finish out the season so his overall numbers look better.

Personally, I want to keep him. Probably Hanley, too. I don't think we need to blow this up.

Not completely but we lack talent throughout the organization. There isn't much help on the way.

Now would probably be a good time to ship Infante. Hes a solid player but probably can get a solid return

The Marlins don't do that. They move players out of their natural positions.

New rumor: Hanley and Bell for Carl Crawford and prospects. LOL or ROFL or TROLOLOLOLOL?

Yea buys this time I'm sure they'll move Bonifacio there. Not sure I want him starting, though.

The rumor was complete BS. I don't think anything ever went past a phone call with the two teams.

Heath Bell's contract is bad. Carl Crawford's contract is Godawful. Why would a team shed its central player and take on a Godawful contract just to get rid of a bad contract?

This will never go through, and the team's description of it as "laughable" is correct.
