JJ and Johan look nasty tonight.

 

Logan Morrison has no business playing defense

 

All of a sudden in the bottom of the 4th the strike zone has shrunk on JJ. He's painted 6-7 fastballs right on that corner that weren't called.

HOLY F that play at the plate was close! On the replay his foot hit the plate at almost the EXACT moment the glove hit his leg.

 

The glove hit his leg literally right as his foot was barely touching the plate. Could have easily gone either way. I can't tell which was the right call.

 

What the heck does that mean

All three of the "strikes" to Bonifacio were a foot off the plate on the Fox track. JJ can't get a call on the corner though. Home field advantage?

Someone tell Stanton that when sliding into home it may be a better idea to slide at the plate instead of directly at the catcher weakly

I know his pitch count was getting up but IMO this is why you let JJ finish the inning.

Our top pitching prospect Jose Fernandez and the bullpen threw a no hitter yesterday! He went 6 IP with 2 walks and 8 Ks!
