That makes my comeback so much less gratifying. Yet it still works....just sub Braves for Mets.

Err reverse the teams order in what I just said lol.

 

Traffic was a nightmare. Parking was a nightmare. Someone stole my tickets once we were inside (lolwtfppl) so I had to go to guest services and get a waiver so the usher would let us sit. The pregame ceremonies were terrible. The game was terrible. My tenderloin BLT was meh. Someone bumped into me causing me to drop my Ice Cream Helmet on the way back to my seats.

And yet what an amazing night. Can't wait to go back.

 

Mainge, you should have yelled for Stanton.

 

He was busy being awesome on the field.

 

Always going after the Braves first... Not surprising though considering the way we wiped the floor with you last season...

 

Just think of the positives, your 2nd trip can only get better.

 

That Muhamad Ali thing was absolutley painful to watch. Felt like Loria had some friends and pulled some strings and tried to parade one of the more iconic men on the field, almost like he was showing off a new toy. The only thing that would've been worse IMO was if he came out with Ted Williams frozen head..........Gave me chills watching him drive out in that cart, it was borderline disturbing.

 

Don't give the Red Sox ownership any ideas....

I thought it was great to see Ali shadow boxing his entire way out to the mound in the cart. He still had the bobbin & weavin down pat......

Honesty that place is awesome.

 

It does look really nice, besides that thing in left center which just looks out of place. Hopefully I will get a chance to watch a game there sooner than later.

Something I found hilarious...

yesterday, some dude called into the LeBatard show and said that the Marlins version of the "Sausage race" should be a Taxpayer running with a brief case full of cash and 4 county commissioners chasing him.

 

Only the first two games...but ..

everybody on the team forgot how to hit except Reyes.

I HOPE that this steady stream of terrible AB's are just a blip. Or a practical joke.

 

Seriously the offense is horrible. Lets remember we have faced 2 "opening day" starters so far.....still it's disheartening.

 

Well one of them was Kyle Lohse so you can't really use that as an excuse but that's the beauty of baseball. But seriously it's only 2 games you shouldn't feel disheartened, it happens. The team has too much talent at the top of the order to keep getting shut down like that.

 

Wait. So, we aren't gonna burn tires outside of the stadium?

 

Seriously. It's been two games. No need to worry.

 

I'm not worried so much as frustrated. It's supposed to be a fresh new start where we compete and we come out so so flat.

 

Hitting coaches Ali and Fox just haven't done a good job at all...

Oh trust me I know it means nothing long term. I'm just chomping at the bit to see this team succeed. Third times a charm lets get it cracking!
