And Lomo.

No wonder we're the choice for The Showtime series. When does that start?

I know Bonifacio's the guy for now, that's why I said long-term. A Yelich conversion makes sense if only because the organization likes to move people to different positions anyway.

They start filming during spring training, but I don't think the first episode airs until summer.

Three months of LoMo footage, guys. Three months.

He's played LF mostly so it's not a crazy transition. He also did log 28 games in CF last year so that may be what actually ends up happening.

    Or Hanley :shifty:

I sort of hope LoMo pranks Hanley with something like that. The reaction will be priceless.

    He's supposed to be.

Man, it's a shame Cespedes didn't sign. All the show needs is a Coming to America subplot to be the greatest thing ever. Hard Knocks Jets? Screw that.

I am so glad we are finally getting some national love. I will be getting showtime JUST to watch this show. Seriously.

I am happy with Hanley anywhere, as long as it's in a Marlins uniform. Dude is a stud, and I am stoked about the upcomming season and years.

So, who's going to Opening Night? I'm hoping I'm able to snag a ticket somehow; I don't start work until Monday, so I'm cutting this whole "able to buy stuff" thing pretty close.

The days of $5 "please, please, please come to our games" ticket sales are over.

Honestly, to be at opening night in a new ballpark with THIS roster… yeah, $130 is worth it.

Not really a huge baseball fan, just try to keep an eye on Marlins as the local team, but the hat? I like.

The only way to guarantee a ticket to opening night (other than stub hub) is to purchase one of the season ticket packages. Frankly if I lived in Miami I would pick up the 20 game package. However they did just introduce a 10 game package. It may be worth it for some of you South Floridians, and then your opening game ticket would be locked into the season ticket price.

Besides the mini-golf green on the walls, and that acid trip thing they got for HR's, I think it looks okay....

I'm slowly accepting that I won't be there on opening night. I just don't have the money. If I had started work a month earlier, then maybe.

Thing is with stubhub Des is there is time still that's why the prices are high....wait until a few days before the opener.....you will see the prices go down, because the people who bought them solely for the purpose of flipping them for a payday do not want to eat the tickets...

Wait until the last minute...and set price alerts, you will get what you want...

This isn't a price issue, it's an "I don't have a paycheck yet because my W-2 won't be submitted in time and all tickets will be gone by then" issue.

    ^ that's a fair priced deal....!

    ok, now this.....

How does this not interfere with the Fielders perspective to pick up the ball put in play?? I thought all other parks used a solid wall (green screen for TV ads) to help fielders see (just like a Batters Eye in Centerfield helps the hitter, etc).

When I first heard about an Aquarium, I had presumed it would only FACE THE FANS sitting in the seats.....having it transparent and impact Fielders seems very strange!

I'm assuming that the Aquarium won't impact the fielder's line od sight to home plate.

I too am assuming some things...but will have to see it in action....just cant figure out HOW IT WOULD NOT BE IN LINE OF SITE for each of the 8 defenders (including the Pitcher). I have to figure some fielder will be impacted.

Also, how strong is that GLASS (or GLASS LIKE SUBSTANCE) that it wont be shattered on Foul Tip/Passed Ball? Will the ball bounce off it, or just drop still and force the Catcher to go all the way back to the glass to retrieve it as runners scamper around the bases?

How will Sunlight reflect off that surface?

Who knows till they play, but maybe it will be covered and protected on Game Day?

P.S. I realize its not directly behind the Catcher....that part seems solid....but this looks like two acquiriums off to each side of behind home plate prior to the dugouts, etc, and it still has to impact some fielders views...and foul tips and passed balls go in funny directions on occasion...as do over-throws, etc....its clearly in-play. Thus my questions.
