Apparently my father said AJ and Girardi got into it....when he was being taken out, he turned around as he was walking off the mound and said to Joe...."That f%%king Bulls##t"...and then Girardi turned and said something in his direction....

Honestly I have given the guy a pass, but yeah I agree BDH they need to move into a different direction.....I would call the Cubs, and see if they wanna do Z for him.....yes I know Z isnt good either but what can you expect trading AJ??

Fangraphs has in 5th in the AL behind Bautista, Pedroia, Ellsbury and Zobrist at 5.9. Baseball Reference has him at 8th at 4.7. Before you ask your next question FG and BR use different defensively measurements that they use when calculating WAR.

 

Honestly, as bad as both have been I'd still rather have Burnett than Zambrano, not even factoring contract cost/length.

Eh, Texas doesn't bother me much although historically the Sox don't play well there. But when you have Ellsbury, Youkilis and Ortiz out of the line up it would be hard for any team to score runs. I think a healthy Red Sox team can beat a healthy Rangers team in a 5 or 7 game series.

First Round is 5 still. When I was talking about a 7 game series I meant if the two teams were to meet in the ALCS.

None, it's the same 5-7-7 format as always. Although I would really like them to switch the ALDS and NLDS to a 7 game series instead of 5, it's just too short a series.

I don't know they already have a double header scheduled on Saturday, I could see a team not wanting to play 4 games in 2 days. Plus I'm sure Baltimore will be back at YS before the year is out so they can always play a DH then. But yeah Baltimore is pretty jerky never the less.

Honestly, I think I'm wrong about this one now. Burnett obviously has better stuff but I don't think he can mentally handle NY anymore.

 

AJ is shot. You guys might not even make the playoffs if he continues to be in your staff.

 

What still bothers me about this team, is it is either home runs or naught....the playoffs have a unique way of limiting said home runs....

I'd say no Arod or Youkilis evens things out a bit. Interesting pitching match ups:

CC vs. Lackey
Hughes vs. Beckett
Burnett vs. Lester

On paper it looks like the Sox should take 2 out of 3, with the only loss coming tonight (but somehow Lackey won the last CC match up which is why they play the game on the field). But I'll be happy if the Sox just win 1 game to be honest with you, I don't want to get greedy.

Had 6 trees fall down in the front and backyard but no thankfully damage to the house. Had power out from early Sunday morning to late Monday night. Still don't have cable or internet but I'm just glad I have running water again. Thanks for asking, hopefully you and everyone else made out ok.
