I understand why he was pissed, I would be too, I'm arguing that the ump had no right to ring him up. The ump should just walked away back to the plate with his head down and let Gardy yell at him. It's the playoffs any close call the ump is going to hear it. Gardy wasn't even going crazy on the ump, I think the ump was completely out of line throwing him out of the game. Bottom line, it's the playoffs, the umps should hold back a bit but they never do. They want to be in the middle of everything. MLB needs to do something about it. Screw instant replay etc, fire the umps that suck and hire/train ones that won't. I get calls are going to be blown and accept it but these umps think they're above the game because no one from MLB says anything to them about this stuff. It's insane and unfortunate.

You never know, a couple of choice four-letter bombs being said at the ump could have happened....he was pissed though and you knew he was getting rung, when he was on the mound talking to his players...

Correct. The second he came to the mound, I knew he was done. Can't say I blame him. I like Gardy.

Still though, it's the playoffs. The umps should ignore it unless the manager/player/coach goes over board going after them or in their face. Anything else the umps should walk away. The stakes are too high.

Best little league coach my son ever had looks just like him :) He was all business and took no sh!t. I bet Gardy is the same way. I'd ship Jumpin' Joe off is a heartbeat for him.

F the Skankees. Best damn team money can buy.

Easy to see why the rest of the world loves it when USA Basketball loses

Better than watching ownership pocket the money, like most of the other teams in baseaball.....

But any who....nice to get a couple of days rest now.....Hughes is downright scary if he doesn't walk people, like tonight.....

Now that it is over, I have to say, man I feel for bad for minnesota...seriously think about that 0-12...4 straight series sweeps at the hands of ny....that is buffalo bills on miami-esque..

i find it insulting that Minnesota didn't just forfeit but instead chose to actually play the game with their inferior talent. Disgusting how the lower classes are allowed to dirty our field with their putridness

The fans are going to feel even worse when NY sends their football team to 1-3 ;)

Hughes was great tonight. I feel better about our pitching after this series. I hope TB can stretch their series to 5.

hughes was magnificent. if that's the hughes we get this playoffs we have 28 bagged. the pitching was mind blowing this series. dont know whether to believe it just yet but it sure looks good.

and minnesota will exact its revenge in the football world and redeem the scandanavian pride. Skol!:tongue2:

Do you find it insulting that the Skankees Payroll equals the rest of the teams left in the playoffs-Philly?

Just asking...cause if they dont win it all, they are feeding directly off of you!!

    No, honestly.

The Romans are pissing directly in the drinking water of the Romans...and the Romans are paying for it.

Either your water is going to taste like, well, piss, or it is going to taste like winning testosterone...either way, it was paid for, full by you the fans, so enjoy!

the yankees are like front row seats for Metallica. you pay a little more but the experience is worth it.

the rest of the league is like standing in the men's room in the back of a dive bar as Ricky Martin plays in the background. Its smelly, foul and vagrants ask you if you have a quarter to spare but at least the whole experience is affordable

meister not you!!!! who would of thought a fine product in the process of American academdia, can't see and respect an ownership group that you know....actually puts the money into the product on the field...instead of the pockets....

especially after watching what the Heat did this summer.....

Sadly I agree. There's always next year right? Maybe I'm just being a bitter Red Sox fan but I think the team we had the last week of the season would have beaten the Twins in a 5 or 7 game series too. I don't think people realize just how good the AL East actually is compared to the other divisions. It's scary.
