Hello? Anybody home?
What a shot by Smith!
lots of technicals in this game
I hate Vujacic. Dude is a POS.
Gotta love the Fakers being handed a trip to the NBA Finals on two poor inbound passes.
Not only that, but without being sent to the line every possession in the third Q they'd of been down by 30.
Solid choke job by Carmelo as well, in all fairness.
LAKERS!!! suck it... what a fourth quarter by Kobe and Gasol... and friggin Ariza IS Robert Horry...
so it was all denvers fault that the inbounds went to LA, ariza and odom who were both there on both plays have nothin to do with it right ?
they missed 12 FT and still won
LOL, you're crediting Ariza for the ball being thrown to him by K-Mart?
Game 1 is understandable, he made a great play, but Anthony Carter had NO BUSINESS on the inbound to begin with.
Melo lost this game more than anyone won it.
He did NOTHING in the ENTIRE SECOND HALF and his team had the game tied in the final minute.
But it doesn't matter... NBA sucks. The fact that both teams can make a case against officiating says too much; NFL is the only respectable league standing.
The only fair matchup would be Kobe vs. LeBron for the battle of the calls.
3 players beat the Nuggets Kobe, Gasol and Ariza. Accounted for 76 points. Odom good for 1 good game per series and George Karl is good for being out coached in the last 2 min every game so expect the Lakers to go back home up 3-1 to close out the series.
Dude, every sport has poor officiating. Look at Ed Hochuli....
You'd think the Kenyon Martin punched Dwayne Wade and the refs ejected Wade from this kind of tone. Seriously bro, this overreaction stuff and name calling is getting old.
Seems to be the consensus if the heat are out. NBA sucks, these playoffs are horrible, the refs are lopsided to the Lakers, David Stern this and that. That stuff get old quick.
You're such a ****ty troll.
get over it. Come up with something new.freaking babies.
Anyone else think the opening lineup sounds like an exorcism?
I would ignore you but you actually are amusing at times. So Are you a Magic fan or what?
Carmelo Anthony is 0/7 and he's been fouled on about 5 or 6 of his misses. Unreal.
What are you talking about?
About the rest of your posts, I do think LAL & CLE are getting the majority of the important calls their way in EVERY game. I think that's obvious for anyone who isn't a fan of those teams. It's been the talk of basketball forums the whole season, but now it's really having an impact.... no one is more untouchable than LeBron James right now, though. Gotta hold your breath entirely when guarding the guy.
Why aren't you banned yet? You have 25 posts and each and every one of them is about the Miami Heat... yet you're not a Heat fan, and all you do is talk crap to try and stir the pot up.
And these playoffs sucked in the second round, but the Conference Finals have been TOP NOTCH thus far.
Bird Man is my favorite white guy in all of sports, man.
I was talking to a friend of mine and I told him: I want Birdman's haircut.
and yet Denver is still winning so far
Who said I was crying? I thought I made it clear that I was laughing AT you.
Kobe just got a warning from the ref and STILL went up to Jones and said, "alright mother****er, alright *****" in front of the same official.
Remember how petty Melo's tech was in Game 1? He clapped his hands in frustration at himself.
Bird Man!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guy is awesome.
I'm not a Lakers fan - actually rooting for Denver to win it all - but really, that's a flagrant foul? At what point does David Stern strap dresses on these players? The NBA is starting to look foolish with all these calls IMO.
gonna be a free agent too
Holy ****... Did you see the back to back techs on the Melo & Nene? Complete garbage... both of them.
Now I understand. If I wasn't a Heat fan, boy, I would HATE Dwyane Wade. Wade, LeBron, and Kobe. It's amazing.
I didn't really understand them and I'm not trying to biased here. The K-Mart one was arguable, though I didn't think it deserved to be a technical, but the Carmelo Anthony one? I didn't understand that at all. Unless I missed something; all I saw was Melo pat Kobe on the chest and then them two run into each other. Nothing else.
He gave Kobe a friendly pat on the chest, Kobe ignored it, and walked right through him chest bumping. If I was Melo I wouldn't shake his hand after the series.
But... J.R. Smith is going in right now!!!!!!
That chicken dance was funny as ****.
But like I said... I now realize after watching Kobe and LeBron get the treatment they've been getting... how much I'd hate Dwyane Wade if I wasn't a Heat fan.
according to kobe they are really good friends. i guess the refs didnt know that
But thats why its great to have Wade...
Four games in, 2-2... right now... what team are you guys taking in this series?
I'm taking Denver. no surprise probably to laker fans lol but i just dont think they have the heart. Pau, Lamar, and Bynum are all soft come playoff time.
I'm a casual NBA fan, but I don't understand all the whining about Kobe getting calls and the technicals on Martin and Melo.
First of all, the Nuggets went to the line like 1,000 times last night. All they had to do was drive and the ref was calling any type of contact against the Lakers.
Second of all, Luke Walton's final 3 fouls on subsequent plays were all ticky-tac fouls that should never be called in the playoffs.
Third of all, Kenymon Martin certainly deserved that technical. We all saw what he was doing by clamping down Gasol's arm.
Fourth, that trip on Kobe was a dirty play, no other way around it. Should've been a flagrant. Kobe had every right to be slightly upset.
I'm not a Laker fan by any stretch of the imagination, but watching Laker haters complain and cry about the refs is tiring. The Nuggets were at the line 50 times last night and people still cry that the refs were favoring the Lakers. Unreal.
they really didnt look like they had the heart last night, they didnt want it. Im not sure why the Lakers do that, but they usually follow a game where they look like they dont care with an *** whippin. So Lakers being at home i fully expect for them to go up 3-2. im taking Lakers in the series.
I thought Bynum got rooked on that flagrant foul call on Anderson, that was just good, hard nosed basketball.
At first I thought the Lakers would beat the Nuggets in 6, now I'm leaning towards Nuggets in 7.
I picked Denver to win this before this series so I'm sticking by it. Same goes for Orlando.
Question... what makes tripping "dirty"?
Is tripping someone really a "dirty" play? I dont see how. Maybe a little cheap or something... but dirty?
Dirty is hitting someone in the balls... diving into someones knees... purposely elbowing someone in the head/face... etc.
Tripping? Really? I dont see what the outrage is all about. Someone put it into perspective for me...
