Mavs squeaked one out but the Nuggets made them work for it. I think Denver wins the next one.
Mavs win but only delay the inevitable.
I would love to have an owner like Cuban of my team, personally. He cares about his teams and he wants to win, I dont see anything wrong with that. And dont get it twisted....Martins mom was harrassing him too, you just dont hear that side of it. And I finally got to see the supposed "push" big baby did this morning. I mean wow.....the way the media makes it sound I expected him to pick this kid up and gorrila slam him into the first row. He barely touched the kid!!
That's cool, I just think the owner should sit up in the box and the let team do their jobs. I can't stand guys like Jerry Jones, who wish they could run the whole team themselves. Or Al Davis. It's great that Cuban loves his team but he just comes off as a pain in the ***. I mean, the Cavaliers have had a great season, but I couldn't tell you who owned the team.
I could but only because I have taken him to the airport on my side job.
But the Mavs werea joke before Cuban pumped new life into them. In a sports landscape where personalities are becoming less and less. Where they are replaced with corporate shills and cliche answer machines, it is nice to have someone like Cuban imo.
He deserves to sit wherever he wants. I like that he is down on the floor. Most owners wouldn't dare do a thing like that.
I know getting over a mil in fines is chump change to him, I'm sure part of his theatrics are just to get people to the games, to see what he'll do next. Whatever the case, I've read and seen enough interviews to get the impression that he's an intimidating prick. I just want to punch people like that in the face.
Boy, Rockets looking like Game 4 was just a flash in the pan. Lakers getting payback and are just brutalizing them (finally).
Actually rooting for Dallas tomorrow because I want to see Denver end their season in Mark Cuban's piece of trash house.
went to the lakers game tonight- that was a blast! They were absolutely having their way with the rockets and Scola was essentially our best player. that man looked lost on the court and his hands were worse than david martin's. really fun to see the rout, but by the 3rd quarter all the scrubs were in so it was kinda like only getting to see 1/2 of a real game.
I might root for Dallas as well, though for a different reason. Wouldn't want the Nuggets to get some rest.
Dan Gilbert founder of Quick Loan Funding. Usher is a minority owner.
Come on Denver. Billups is the ****.
This is the Nugget's year. They don't lose at home and can play defense for once. I would love to see a Cavs-Nuggets NBA finals.
Yup, as it stands right now that would appear to be the best series we could see.
Um yea, I wouldn't.
Kobe gets trapped in the paint, makes a complete stop, elbows Battier away from him, moves his pivot foot, and gets free throws.
I love watching this Lakers team play lol.
The lakers are the most confusing team to watch, the Rockets don't have Yao, Mutumbo, and yet here they are looking at a Game 7?
Who are these guys?
why is game 7 on sunday?? why did the give them an extra day? now im not gonna be able to watch the game......booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The Lakers have more talent. But the Rockets are a tougher team, so this series is a tight one. Lakers should dominate in game 7. I dont know if the Lakers have the physicality to stand with Denver though. IMO, Martin, Nene, and company are going to dominate the paint.
Lakers are getting complacent at the wrong times. They bring it when there's a tough game but not when it looks like a cakewalk.
It would be a better series than most would expect.
Because Saturday was slotted for possible Game 7's in CLE / ATL & DEN / DAL.
Everything schedule wise is decided before the opening of a playoff round. The only thing that can be changed is time.
Ok, did anybody not see the Lakers smoking Houston in this game?
At this point, I'm just thinking they're taking the Celtics role of last year. Play off and on until the Finals.
yeah, you guys got it in the bag, delaying the inevitable is what this game is. Denver might give you a hard time, but I still don't see how L.A. doesn't end up in the Finals. Nothing against the Nuggets, but L.A. is a juggernaut of a team, and an amazing coach too.
Denver has the best shot of any team in the league against LAL; they're a better basketball team than Cleveland from top to bottom. No doubt about that in my mind.
But my issue is... why the hell are we stuck listening to Jeff Van Gundy in the ****ing conference finals?
How do you blatantly slap a guy shooting a three ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ARM with no foul called? Only the Lakers.... (and Cleveland)
Carmelo Anthony T'ed up for CLAPPING HIS HANDS in frustration.
Meanwhile Kobe Bryant cries about every single call for 48 minutes.
God I hope Denver wins this series.
kobe could assassinate a ref and not get t'd up
Kobe Bryant just hit a jumper, got the (bogus) foul called, and screamed "*****!" at Jones right in front of two refs.
Furthermore he taunts and mocks his opponent(s) on every possession.
But Carmelo Anthony gets T'ed up for clapping his hands in frustration (not sarcastically, mind you)
kobe taunts his opponents way too much..im surprised jones didnt get in his face, jones and roy have gotten in each others face. jones doesnt take much **** from the opponent..he even taunts mr.class shane battier
What makes it worse is the fact that we'll be listening to Jeff Van Gundy for the rest of this series.
If Reggie Miller.... oh no. Please no. I can't do JVG West Finals / Reggie Miller East Finals. Kill me now.
If denver is playing this well in LA, there is no way they lose at home. This looks like Denvers series at this point in game 1, even if they lose this game.
too early to tell and melo is on fire. he probably wont shoot like this again in LA....i like the way its going though
yeah thats not respectable play. Eddie House does the same thing, but has no skill.
Had no idea how good Denver was until the playoffs started. I'm be rooting for them to win it all with my team out.
