So I am listening to sports radio here in Charlotte NC, and they are talking about Deangelo Williams restructuring and what they should do with the extra cap money.....and all they keep talking about is "paying the kraken" I almost slammed on my brakes. I guess Greg Hardy is nicknamed the kraken?! Hold up a minute. Thats already taken. so then they are talking about how much money is "good" money....and the host of the morning show in a big market says "its fair to pay him the 30mm that Cam Wake got" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whattttt?!??! Since 2010 (Hardy came into the league) here is their numbers: (Keep in mind Wake hasnt had Charles Effing Johnson taking up double teams for him.....) Hardy: 141 Tackles 18 sacks 5 FF Wake: 152 Tackles 37.5 Sacks 6 FF give me a effing break!!!!! Wake is the one and only Kraken.......sorry had to vent a bit *this thread is only relevant because its the offseason and OTAs havent started yet, I realize it is not a important discussion*
Oooooo DJ gonna be so damn mad! There is only 1 kraken and its Cam Wake. Hardy can be the Krackhead if he wants.
He's actually had that nickname among more than like 3 people on a message board though, so there's that.
IIRC, I started calling Wake "the Kraken" when the Clash of the Titans remake was released and Wake had taken over for Joey Porter, inow when Hardy was a Rook and had a whopping 3 sacks.
Fan base has been referring to Wake as the Kraken before Hardy was even in the league. Simple google search will prove that. Not to mention Hardy named HIMSELF. Was never ever given.
The only thing I'd disagree with you is that the real Kracken has had big Paul Soliai taking up extra blockers, but there hasn't been anyone of significance on the right side, particularly last year, arguably the Kracken's best year...

Ok, I registered at Carolina huddle website, I posted in the Steve smith thread about Sanchez, I guess I have to get a certain post count up before I can start my Kracken thread.. My goal is to get banned.. Yes I'm a grown man, but when it comes to my team, haven't aged in 30 years.
What makes Wake the tru Kracken is the celebration.. There is no better celebration in the league..and it's time the rest of the NfL starts realizing this dudes massive potential and marketability.
You know why I know wake is the tru Kracken??, cause I told him so in training camp and he smiled...lol
