I watched the game in a bar without the sound on so I have no idea how severe the o line injuries are. Do we even know what happened? Posted via Mobile Device
This might help. Quick and dirty. The Offensive Line's Wild Ride http://www.thephins.com/2009/11/20/the-offensive-lines-wild-ride/
It is simply amazing that Henne didn't get sacked despite the OL being a M*A*S*H unit. Says a lot about Henne and his decision making abilities and release.
Thanks. That was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't hear the announcers and just saw a bunch of fat dudes falling down holding their legs in pain! Posted via Mobile Device
What impressed me was when we went to the Garner-Berger combo inside, we were gashing them up the middle. Offensive line depth ain't what it used to be.
Do we know if they'll all be recoverable injuries for our little 10 day break? God Thursday games suck. I am hoping that's the only reason we had such a horrible game with injuries.
I think everyone will be OK. Garner is the guy I worry about. His injury was most serious. He's proven to be uber versatile, even playing TE on those short yardage situations.
Yeah, I was amazed, he played what, LG, RT, and then C? Granted he had the dropped hike, but for someone who has never practiced under center, he had a pretty good day. I'm glad Sparano had the guts to trust him, and not send Grove back on the field. We couldn't afford to have him re-injured. Thats crazy that we went through 3 people at center, and all of then got injured though. Maybe the NFL will rethink these stupid Thursday games.
everybody has an opinion, mine is 1) that the entire team & coaching staff had to step up & the collectively did 2) that the Orca-5 made their bones in this game, right down to the bench 3) Ricky is one of the best to ever carry the ball in the NFL I'm so proud to be a Dolfan after that display of courage & tenacity GoFish!
agreed: they all made their bones from the the start to the bench playing through adversity, injury , blood & pain the Pod is the real deal
Yeah...short week of rest. I think somebody started a thread asking for Thursday night games to be banned.
What sucked is I think Miami would have scored a touchdown or at least gotten a first down before Berger went down in the fourth quarter. Both centers going down is tragic.
the beauty of the game is to found in it's violence I say: let there be blood! every game should be played with the brutality & intensity of a playoff this is what we are: when you play Miami once, you are never looking forward to playing them a second time. the physical game imposes respect. welcome to disagree, but this is reality in the NFL. we are developing a team that will dominate for a decade
To be honest, with our newfound depth along the frontline, the injury that worries me the most is Ferguson! Anybody have an update on him?
i we remember, one of the reasons we let Berger go a couple years ago - was his 'glass' reputation ... it came through again last night ... i just hope we don't have to count on him for the long haul. losing Garner will hurt a lot ... Gardner still needs to bulk up, and not sure where Murtha is .... Harline is just plain not ready. i'm sure we'll be scouring our PSs to find another 'gem' ... to bring into the fold.
Yup. That one hurt the most. Not sure how long Soliai is out for either, but that means McDaniel will have to pick up the slack. That 7th Round pick to JAX doesn't look too shabby now.
i would expect to see Soliai back in the lineup next week ... as long as his ankle injury wasn't too serious. we will need him with FERG out ... Starks has been super solid this year .... never gets a lot of love - but the guy just makes plays ...
