1) Do you really think anyone believes your disclaimer after you wrote the highlighted part? 2) Who exactly are you educating and helping by discussing this subject matter on a message board on the internet?
exactly, abbi, you're just beating the dead horse over and over by bringing up the same exact topics people have been ranting about for 2 years now. nothing new to the table.
There are really forums where people go to talk about how their work day went? :O Actually when I was working, we preferred a bar if we wanted to talk about how fvcked our work day was. Pretty soon we didn't seem to mind anymore.
I dispute this statement, you've agreed with me before, which automatically disqualifies you from ever using rational in a sentence describing yourself ever again. Just sayin'
Heck old buddy, I was just agreeing with you about the 'let's complain about our jobs forum' About this bit of a sticky wicket OL situation, what are we gonna do? When we get on that conference call later with Jeff, what should we suggest to him? Cut loose Carey, and sign Leonard Davis and/or Brian Waters? Shaun O'Hara? I'd like Davis maybe most just so I could read more complaints about the Boys-Dolphins pipeline.
Don't sell yourself short Con just because of what she said. We should agree with you when once in a blue moon you are right.
If Jake is able to go on opening day, that's 3 1st round draft picks and Ingognito as the starters with Pouncey being the puller. I thought Columbo played well against ATL as did Murtha. I think we learned on Friday, this is no longer going to be a run first team. I really don't see the problem.
It can be if the right changes are made. Heck it can be a better run and pass blocking team. We spoke about it in another thread but Brian Waters just as a fit at LG and an excellent pass protector would really make the line something special for Henne. We'll be running plays far far far down the field. If Henne gets picked he'll get picked 40 yards down. It needs to happen.
It's posts like this one from people like you, who are here mainly to create entertainment for yourselves by baiting and debating the merits of other members here instead of football, that are bringing the level of discourse down on this forum. This may be fun for you and others like you but it's a ****ing chore slogging through this **** of yours just to be able to read about the team we're here to discuss. **** all of you who are doing this to our football home.
So he likes to joke a little sometimes. Todd also creates far more than his share of well written, and thought provoking football posts on this forum. This particular post of his that you felt compelled to disparage, is 100% balls on as far as I'm concerned. If I wrote a post like you just did as a response for every post I believed was lessening or bringing down my viewing experience, well, let's just say I'd be writing quite a few every week, such as the many we are forced to read that amount to no more than unwarranted name calling and insults directed at our coach or GM.
You are smarter than this, Marvin; the team our coaches and its GM are WHAT WE ARE HERE TO TALK ABOUT, and we should be able to say whatever we want abo0ut them because on this forum, they ARE THE TOPIC. However, nowhere do I see on this forum that it is here for us to be able to take shots AT EACH OTHER—fellow fans of the same team. Sure, you can call me a moron today, after I call Tony Sparano a meathead...but some day, you're likely to find out that I'm someone whom you might meet in person, have a beer with. I'm HERE, reading what you say—Tony Sparano is most assuredly NOT here, reading anything, and if he was he sure has proven that he doesn't give a **** what we say. You know damn well the difference, it just happens to bother you now because you like the current morons in charge. But did you consider anyone else's feelings when you called Saban the many names you have in the past? Why should I have to limit my voice about any fair, proper topic, just because it rankles someone else?
I don't recall being among those who engaged in much name calling toward Saban...things like Satan, Little Nicky, whatever. I may have said he was a liar a few times I do not really recall. In this instance, it appeared to me your response to Todd gave me as much to slog through as his post that you responded to. If you want to say Tony is a meathead, I may say it is a ridiculous or unwarranted comment, but I doubt I ever said "Joe you are a moron" because of your name calling toward Tony. We are allowed to speak on the the comments after all, just not the comment maker. As for my liking the current "morons in charge", are we allowed to say that? If you mean Todd, when you refer to current morons, yes I do like him as a poster here very much. I would say the only person who's comments I look forward to reading any more than his are Rafael's. I do not consider "morons in charge" as a very nice or accurate thing to say about him though. BTW, my real name is Walter.

Gotchya, so it's ok for you to complain about my post, but it's not ok for me to do the same to a member who begins an opening post with the type of drivel you're complaining of? There's a huge difference between voicing your opinion and constantly complaining about everything to no end and then telling other members who disagree that they're homers or part of some rah rah club (refer to opening post) b/c they don't share the same doom and gloom attitude. I've probably had as many if not more people disagree with my posts or not share some of my views than anyone else on this site. Did I ever initially insult them for not sharing my beliefs? Did I initially call them Henne haters? No, I didn't. What did I do?---- I did more research, watched more film on Henne, watched more film on the other young guys, and I created more threads. Do you know how many hours I've put into making threads and research etc for this site? Tons. Do you know how many times I've received obnoxious, insulting comments to these opening posts? Tons. I could spend 6 hours trying to make a quality thread for the good of the site and I'm still guaranteed to have at least 1 person use my OP as a reason to say crap like "you're just making excuses", "you're love affair with Henne is ridiculous", "you're blind", Henne sucks", "your crush on Henne is out of control", blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, nothing that actually addresses the opening post, just pot shots. Is that the kind of stuff you're referring to when you mention "voicing your opinion" and "improving the quality of the site"? Do the same people who do little but complain over and over "improve the quality of the site"? I try my darndest to refrain from criticizing members who haven't already done so previously. However, when members insult an opening poster when it's not warranted (you don't have to agree with an OP to respect it), then I have zero respect for them when they complain or run their mouth in the future. I don't always agree with CK, but he spends countless hours creating stuff for this site. When someone obnoxiously discredits one of his well thought out OPs (as if the member didn't take the time to read CK's work but will take the time to type a 5 second insult), I think that's pretty scummy and I don't mind speaking my opinion of it. Ditto goes for DJ whose OPs (that are extremely valuable to this site) receive their share of pot shots by members who rarely to never stick their own neck out on the line to be criticized. DJ even took his objectivity so far as to rewatch every game and post his thoughts of Henne's performances for the good of the forum (and this is a guy who previously was on Henne's case). But that didn't stop members from occasionally crapping on his OPs just b/c DJ had a different opinion about Henne. Is that the kind of "voicing your opinion" you advocate? Is that the stuff that "improves" the quality of the site? You can insult me all you want for being tired of this nonsense, I don't really care. At least I know where you stand.
I hate this... I hate it when I like folks who can't find a common ground with each other.. I think this is what happens when intellectual streams cross and we can't face each other to work sh^% out..I try my best to let everyone speak their mind no matter if I agree or not, no matter how it comes out of their mouths, I want them to be themselves and not censor what they have to say, I understand that Intelligence comes in all kinds of ways, and that it is gonna come out different than I, and I dig the sh&6 out of that.. Take for example Nabo..There is no question that this man has a strong belief in ones freedom of speech, and is very intelligent, and sometimes I know that I cross that line with what he believes is right, and sometimes I cannot conceptualize where his line is cause its so complex, but I'll be damned if he doesn't explain his angle to me and sometimes inspire me to think about what I'am saying.. I feel the same about Todd.. I'am gonna say this... I think this board is beyond us just discussing our team and its variables that just affect the players and coaches.. Its a place where I come for escape and friendship, as weird as that sounds, with my job, and my life, on the road constantly, ya'll are more than just message posters to me..There is a part of my brain that actually cares about the well being of some of you, and actually look forward to one day meeting with some of you.. sorry for being a sap, but I like I said, it's frustrating when you consider both friends..
I think "galvanized" is a pretty strong word for a lot of this forum. It implies a kind of strength, right. I'm thinking more like "shellaced". You can shellac a turd, right?
I think they're limiting themselves by not having a more athletic pulling guard, but I don't think it ends up being a non-viable playbook. The long-pull and pin and pull stuff looks pretty untenable now, but Carey and Incognito I think should be able to handle short pull, inside zone, and probably some outside zone stuff. I think the Bush utilization depends on the personnel package and type of screens. Running Bush in I-formation stuff with our style OL probably isn't his best utilization, but vs. 3 WR sets, which is probably our strongest package? It's less of an issue.
