What do you guys think? I'd rather have him than Rolle, and I've seen a dozen posts that say Nolan likes his Free Safeties crafty and experienced. EDIT: link http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/35711333/ns/sports-player_news/
He'd almost definitely be cheaper than Rolle. I'm just not sure if we're saying the right things about Wilson or if we really believe he can be the player we need. Prob depends on what Nolan thinks. I'd say Atogwe is the best option out there if we need to make an addition.
I'd rather have 20-year old Earl Thomas to be honest. I think St. Louis is going to keep him, and this is a possible way to get someone else to negotiate the contract for them. Otogwe probably wants more than St. Louis currently thinks the market will pay him. So they'll let the market set the price, if anyone bothers to play.
I'm kind of surprised that more teams aren't doing the same thing with more players. It's a pretty good way to find out what other teams have in mind in terms of spending in FA for this year.
whats Atogwe's incentive to stay in STL after this? unless they come up with serious money for him? if it were me, i would kind of consider it a slap in the face.
It is a slap in the face, no doubt. Sign the guy to Gibril Wilson money, the Rams will never match it with having to pay another high draft pick and a new owner coming in.
Whats the incentive for anyone to play for the pit of a franchise? If they cant offer him at least as much as another team, hes gone.
