Interested to see who they cast as M.C. Ren and Yella. Hope they have their appropriate share of the screen. Always loved Ren in two hard m'fers. Liked to hear his voice just as much as the others.
The success or failure of any biopic lies in two factors which can't be undone from each other: writing and acting. If the writing does a good job of bringing forth the human factor of the story, rather than just recount events, it will be halfway there. If the acting is true, rather than a lot of imitation of real life or scenery-chewing, it'll bring this home in a big way. It'll be a tightrope for everyone; this is such a huge, outsized story with huge, outsized personalities being depicted, that it could easily turn into crap. The challenge is to bring it forward from the human perspective.
Hope they do a good job, there are tremendous egos involved though. The story of NWA reads like a Horatio Alger novel
