does anyone know where i can find it? i go twice a week (for the food of course!) and usually get the Cobb Salad with lite ranch and NO bacon. im not sure if thats good for dieting or not...considering nothing else at Hooters seems healthy. its just lettuce, lite ranch, chicken, croutons, some cheese, tomatoes. cant be too bad??
wow, both links didnt say anything. Hooters food must suck if they dont wanna tell anyone their nutrition. it cant possibly be any worse than IHOP..
lose the croutons and as long as the chicken is grilled, not too bad. if you have to have carbs, ask for some wheat toast.
Okay, I know a bit about this nutrition stuff so I'll ask a few questions, feel free to answer me back here for via PM. Are you dieting to lose fat? Are you currently exercising on a daily basis (lift weights, running, etc..)? What is your current diet plan? Aaaand... Do you have any other alternatives to eating at Hooters?
He doesn't want to avoid carbs even if he's on a diet to lose weight, he just needs to make sure he's bringing in complex carbs (wheat) instead of simple carbs (white, sugar, etc)... Good advice though...
people make that mistake with salads all the time. eat croutons or 20 club crackers with one i personally like wheat melba toast, fat and salt free, with salads, but i don't think they have those at hooters.
What I don't get is when people go on their "Subway Diet" then eat a bag of chips and drink 2 glasses of Coca-Cola... Takes a lot of will power to go through with a diet IMO, I respect people that make it through.
i dont like Hooters. when i chow down in there, it smells like chicken, but tastes like fish... that guy in La Bamba said its supposed to be the other way around.
The worst aspect are salad dressings. Full of carbs and fat... double whammy. You have to look for low calorie and low fat versions or you might as well eat a whopper.
Dressings have very little carbs. They're mostly fat based. If you wanna be really healthy, use vinegar as a dressing...
Some have little carbs while some have very high amounts of simple sugars in them. You have to be VERY careful with dressing choices if you are dieting. Agreed with the vinegar but there are many companies that now make a better tasting alternative in light italian or vinagrette versions.
Sugar = Carbs. If they have a lot of sugar, they'd have a lot of carbs. I'm not a salad dressing guru or anything, that'd be weird. But as far as I know, most of the typical (Ranch, French, Italian) dressings are just mostly fat. There are those weird sweet dressings, like Cranberry whatever, but I don't think those can be used as a generalization.
I know sugar equals carbs dude! That's why I made the original carb comment. Lets not argue over something so silly. Bottom line is that you have to be careful with dressings if your on a diet.
I thought you were saying "there's little carbs in salad dressings, but there's a lot of simple sugars..." My bad... You really had me wondering what was up though for a minute... But yes, I too feel stupid over arguing about salad dressings lol.
Yeah, the more I think about it, this is one of those "it never happened" deals. Neither of us need to be telling anyone around us about this conversation ever happening!
I'll take two large pizzas with everything and a diet Pepsi for here. (Seriously heard someone order that and watched him fold the pizza in half and chow down by himself)
ive spent a few nights drinking two pitchers of beer and eating 15 wings at that place. not so much anymore
