Nothing fishy about Dolphins' offense versus Chargers MIAMI – It's the old magician's trick. Once he has you looking for the sleight of hand, he's got you overlooking the obvious.
“When they go from a regular formation and come into 'Wildcat,' he (Brown) is so patient with it, you can't just shoot a gap,” said Chargers safety Eric Weddle. “You have to all be assignment-sound. He just sits there and picks his way and finds a gap and hits it. He's a good runner, a smart runner and patient.”
"Ultimately, though, the Chargers came away thinking they'd all made the Dolphins look better than they really are. " Quotes like this both tick me off because these teams simply cannot believe we actually outplayed them, which we did, but then also brings a smile to my face that people will continue to underestimate us, making our wins even bigger. “It's not one person,” said Jammer. “Everyone is on separate pages (messing) up. It just seemed like one person after another was blowing a play. We can't have it." Just give us our due Jammer, we beat you, get over it and stop with the excuses
This is EXACTLY why I dont like Turner as a head coach. HE will mess this team up completely before its over.
In the end, the only thing that matters is W-L. Jammer, Norv, all the San Diego writers, all the Miami writers, ESPN, NFL Network, any and all of them... None of what they do, say or write is relevant. Just WIN
AJ smith may be a good GM when it comes to players, but he is a jackass when it comes to coaches. Firing a consistently winning head coach for a consistently losing head coach? I laughed when they hired Turner and I'm still laughing. Thank god it happened in the AFC. He makes it a much more competitive conference (as a head coach)... Good OC, horrible HC.
Until we win consistently, we're going to continue to get disrespected. Sure, we got back-to-back wins. Sure, in two games, we've beaten the two representatives in last season's AFC championship game. You can't downplay that as a fluke, however, there's no denying the fact that we're still a young team that overachieved two weeks in a row. We beat better teams because we played better as a unit than they did on those two particular days. We've got a ways to go before we've truly earned the respect of the best teams in the league. The only thing the Phins have accomplished with those two wins is they've proven that they aren't the cellar-dwellers they were in 2007. Whoop-dee-doo. We aren't likely picking first overall again. Teams that play us aren't just getting an extra bye week anymore. We can take the paper bags off now. However, it's going to take more than 2 good weeks to truly earn respect. Especially coming from a team that was one game away from the Superbowl last year. They actually accomplished something.
