No panic for Dolphins' defense despite Jared Odrick's injury

What did Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick break? A foot, not a leg. Which foot? The left foot, not the one beneath the fractured fibula the Dolphins' 2010 first-round pick sustained in the season opener. How long is he out?
``A long time,'' was all coach Tony Sparano would say, although the Dolphins' recent history with broken feet shows that ``long time'' probably means ``see you next year.''
But you don't have to ask ``What now?'' for the Dolphins' defensive line. What has been is what will be -- for now.
That means Paul Soliai at nose guard and Randy Starks and Kendall Langford at defensive end, all three spelled mostly by Tony McDaniel and occasionally by Ryan Baker (each of whom block on the field-goal team, too). Waiver pickup Robert Rose also is on the roster but hasn't been activated for a game.
Sparano said there would be no roster moves -- for now.

Zach Thomas: I played against New England twice a year every year my whole career. I learned to not like that team. I wasn't going to join them.

I really like the Langford-Soliai-Starks line with McDaniels as the backup but they need to bring someone else in.
