It's been a scorching week in Miami, and I was hoping it would carry over into the weekend. I was hoping for a bright, sunny day where our shiny white uniforms glow in the sun and the Raiders get cooked in black, but so far there's been none of that today fellas. I live 10 minutes away from Sun Life, and let me tell you, today couldn't be any further than that (so far). It's very cloudy, no sunshine, no heat, it looks like it just finished raining this morning. Hopefully the skies open up into the day but even most weather services forecast a high of 87, which is low for Miami standards. To make the homefield worse is our obvious attendance issues... So yeah... Good luck Miami lol
It's bull**** that this guy can't even get the weather right. Maybe next game there will be lots of sunshine with a 50% chance of raining acorns.
We are officially the Marlins. Sad to see a Marlinesque crowd there. Is this rock bottom? Stadium is 40 percent full week 2 of the season.
Now give the stadium a little time to fill up. People are still on their way from waking up late hung over after their late Saturday night on South Beach and Las Olas.
Not as depressing as the attendance at the Canes game yesterday. No way the Dolphins are getting a return on that investment by paying UM to play there. I am sure the 5,000 at the game yesterday enjoyed it.
It's the 1pm humidity that does the most damage. The heavy humid air and ensuing cramping will take a toll regardless if it's 87 or 98 if you're not ready for it.... especially vs our uptempo offense.
The side the cameras faced was pretty empty, but the home side was crowded. Wasn't the loudest game I've been to though.
Not really. Attendance was bad when the team was winning. The only time they sniffed sellouts was when FSU came to town. Winning might bring more out, but it won't solve these attendance issues.
The team hasn't been winning for 7 or 8 years really, not big games. They haven't sniffed the BCS for a long time now.
It was still pretty unpleasant even without the sun. Not one of the worst games I've been to but pretty plausible that it was an issue for the Raiders late in the game.
87 can feel like 97 with those black jerseys and the high humidity. OP doesnt know how weather works.
