well this is no good. Lee noted the Dolphins have been working on Beck’s delivery, which sometimes goes below three-quarters. “I just saw him drop it a lot,” Lee said. “He told me he used to have three-quarter, overhand release. I just want him to get his ball at least helmet high. He said ‘I used to, coach, but I hurt my shoulder at BYU, I dropped my arm down and never got it back up.’ “I believe in my heart a guy can only be as good as he can be if he’s three-quarter overhand. You can get so good as a sidearmer and you can’t improve on all your throws.” …
I think he was telling a story about Beck, not describing these ota's. If you will recall, we have heard this story before, from Beck, and they jive. So, I'm thinking this is just filler conversation.
I dont remember if this was mentioned before... hope so and nothing is wrong with his arm... Beck can really sling the ball well
If I could recall what thread I read it in, I would post it for you... maybe someone can help.. it was an interview..
I remember the article, but still the fact that he's still telling this story I think is cause for at least some level of concern. It would be much better to hear Lee say, "We worked on his delivery and he's doing much better now."
