Hoping to prevent scalpers from profiting off their upcoming tour — and to ensure the true fans get front row — Nine Inch Nails will offer their fans a limited allotment of best available seating before the tickets go on sale to the general public. NIN will begin selling those tickets at their official website seventy-two hours before the official on-sale date. To further stonewall those scheming scalpers and ticket brokers, each ticket is imprinted with the purchasers’ name, and can only be acquired the day of the show at the will-call window with an ID that matches the name of the ticket. Then, upon receiving the tickets, the person whose name is inscribed on the ticket must immediately enter the venue, making it impossible to run back to the parking lot and sell it to some buyer from CraigsList. Pre-sales are expected to begin Wednesday with the band’s Lexington, Kentucky, show. And remember, we’re less than a week away from the big announcement Trent Reznor has been teasing over at his website.

The prolific Trent Reznor is back at it. Less than two months after web-releasing the instrumental Ghosts I-IV, Nine Inch Nails sent a brand new song, titled “Discipline,” to radio stations simultaneously around 2:30pm EST today. Reports say the song was just mastered yesterday. And unlike the Ghosts fare, this song actually contains Reznor on vocals. But here’s where things get strange: Venturing back over to nin.com, a post dated April 21st reads “2 weeks!” This “two week” message echoes a similarly mysterious message posted in mid-February that ultimately resulted in the release of Ghosts I-IV. Does Reznor have another new album up his sleeve to accompany “Discipline?”

Without any warning, always web-friendly industrial overlords Nine Inch Nails posted access to a free download of its complete new album, The Slip, on its website (NIN.com) this morning.
The 10-track album is available in several formats, including MP3 and high-quality lossless formats.
To download of The Slip, which will also be issued to retail on CD and vinyl in July, you gotta join the site and enter an email address, to which a link will be sent that will include access to all format options. All downloads will also include a PDF with lyrics and artwork.

ChrisKoforum_veteranIt's pretty much a poop release if you ask me. I was very disappointed and only like 3 tracks and they probably could have just been included with Ghosts (which I did enjoy).
